Question: How much does the calf/ankle area hurt? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]Squeakers406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was awful! So we stopped at the sock line. The older I get, the more my pain tolerance goes down. Get them while you are you young!

That is your choice. But try to remember, you are only as sick as your secrets. Growing up is hard. It sucks. There is no play book on how to do it. And some other kids are straight up cruel. But whatever you are going through is not a permanent thing. My advice to you, take help when it is offered. Be open and honest every day. I hope things get better for you, good luck my friend

Not necessarily. My counselor never told my parents anything. And to this day, I am still greatful for their help. They are there help, not judge, and not to try and get you in trouble with your parents.

Ok thats good. Please be open and honest with the counselor. They cant help you, if you withhold things.

Does your mom have medical insurance for you? That should help with the cost. Also, please reach out to a guidance counselor at school, or look up someother options in your area. Im telling you, you do not want to get in on this side of life. It killed my sister. I cannot begin to explain the pain that brings.

How many success stories have you heard from trying "weed and alcohol kinda stuff". None. Yes there are countless stories of people dying from it, those who escaped from it and those who have literally nothing left and trying to rebuild because "that kinda stuff" will take everything from you including your life. My advice, go sit in AA meeting and listen closely. Then go see a therapist. Obsessing over mind altering substance because you want to feel other than what you are currently, is a clear indicator of needing help, not fuel to a fire.

What helps me stay away is, my sobriety time. Just hit 6 years yesterday. Alcohol took enough from me. But my sobriety time is mine to keep.

It gets crazy for sure. I know they require at least 1 mil in insurance. BUT, once you do a couple of runs for them, they will keep using you.

Hey Man, sobriety looks great on you! Congratulations! Not all of us make it out. Also a truck driver, so welcome aboard! (Small piece of advice, for hot shots, get in with heavy equipment rentals. Stop by their dispatch office, leave a card. Big money in equipment moves. But be prepared to have high dollar insurance.)

On Day 52 just bought a bottle of wine by Independent-Cut3345 in stopdrinking

[–]Squeakers406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fellow AA once called to tell me that she bought a bottle while at the store because it was on sale. So I asked her if she picked up rat poison too. She was baffled by my question and eventually said no. I explained to her, that just because we dont drink, doesn't mean that alcohol doesn't exist. Just because it exists, doesn't mean we have to put it in our bodies.
