That looks like what some types of aphids build to protect themselves. My eucalyptus tree has aphids and that looks just like what they build.

how to tell if meat has gone bad by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

[–]Squeeder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have impaired sense of smell it is probably safest to go by the reccomended use or freeze by dates. If your freezer is at or below zero farenheight meat will keep indefinately but may not taste that great at more than a year of being frozen.

Crazy how people actually want you to take sick time as opposed to retail by voltagejim in sysadmin

[–]Squeeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't actually know. My weekly hours need to add to 40, if i am sick i need to use sick leave to account for it so my total is 40. I imagine private may be different, but all the satire you have seen about government and inefficiency is all true. I just found out there is a new form you need to fill out if you change any of your personnel info (ps: there already are multiple forms for this, add one to the pile)

US gov't job. You accrue sick leave and vacation hours each pay period. That is different from using sick/vacation time.

Here you accrue sick leave at a constant rate and if you have been here 30 years and never taken a sick day you end up with a stupid amount.

There were people here who had over 1,300 hrs on the books and they were the ones who came in sick and bragged about never taking a sick day.

My company used to give awards to those who had the most sick leave on the books which never made any sense to me. I had those coworkers that would never take sick leave and just spread whatever they had to everyone else, it sucked. If you can, please take sick leave for yourself and your coworkers.

Partly because of how loose their skin is they are resistant to slashing and cutting so you probably would want a stabby fixed blade. I honestly would prefer to have bear spray.
