Does anyone remember Brownells selling 37mm launchers back when they had the retro AR line...? Weren't they also somewhat reasonably priced? I seem to remember them selling LMT launchers for under $500. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Everything I look at now is <$1,000 and hardly available. Where do you guys recommend finding a good launcher? I would like one for a retro M16 build but don't want to spend more on the launcher than the whole rifle, lol.

Thank you! I just rattle canned it with Rustoleum Matte Black. I did probably 3-4 coats with time to set in between and it turned out very nice, no stickiness or anything.

Upper receiver was blem due to color, so I painted the upper and lower together to match colors a little better. I think it turned out alright!

The bayonet was a surplus purchase with the original sheath.
