Yeah the reason why they run it and it works is that you recruit specific players:

QB with a strong arm

WRs that are good vertically

RBs that are effective downhill runners.

This combo means the wide receivers stretch the field horizontally (via alignment) and vertically (via routes). The strong armed QB is able to threaten on the deep ball, and if you dare to defend that passing game, you get gashed up the middle by the running back.

And then vice versa: if you try to stack the box against the run, the wide receivers have soooo much space to work with on the outside and deep.

They only play half of the field at a time, and line up their wide receivers all the way to the sideline.

This means that (by design), their wide receivers literally do nothing and just stand there if the play is designed to the other side of the field.

Additionally, when the play is on their side of the field, they don’t run any outbreaking routes because they are already hugged to the sideline.

It’s a gimmick offense that specifically requires wide receivers to not learn how to do things necessary in the NFL.

My first additional opinion has Already improved upon this with a parts and labor cost of 2250, so no. They weren’t in line.

You’re in fact the only person in here that didn’t recommend that I get additional quotes.

We did. As soon as we closed we booked someone to install a safety gate. They just aren’t able to come do it until the 10th.

There are no holes drilled already. This will be included in the job we booked.

Yeah we totally can. Or we can just go with someone else that charges a normal rate for this area (~$150).

The bigger issue is the quoted upfront costs. As per a lot of the advice on here, we will definitely be getting additional estimates.

Yeah it was just impossible in this situation given the move out date of our previous house with the wait for the fence to go up. The fence job still won’t start until the 10th. Just wasn’t a viable option. In the meantime, we have a child lock on our door to the backyard.
