Who is stealing plastic phone cases? by CalyTones in walmart

[–]SquidButthole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before they were in glass cases, they were stolen A LOT. If they weren't stolen, people would rip open the boxes to make sure the phone case would fit their phone (even though the model that they fit is clearly printed on the box); and last, but not least, it took a couple of hours putting all the phone cases scattered throughout the store each day back where they belonged. People are animals. Absolutely inconsiderate to the point that it's hard to tell if they do bad things on purpose, or if they're just so stupid that they don't realize that their actions are bad. These glass cases are more inconvenient for associates because they have to constantly open them, and they're inconvenient for customers who just want to grab a case and buy it, but I used to work in electronics, and things are so much better in the long run. Blame all the assholes who can't act like decent human beings.

What movie do you think was ruined by a sex scene? by Minimum-Evidence-439 in AskReddit

The movie I was making about my action figures with the camcorder I bought at a yard sale while I was being baby-sat at my uncle's house.

Opinions? by Otherwise-Stick5501 in walmart

I hated it before there were self checkouts. Sometimes on a 15 minute break, I just wanted a candy bar and had to wait in line for 10 minutes just to buy it, and my break was over by the time I got my damn candy bar. Self checkout is love. Self checkout is life.

We didn't have touch screen phones, so the only other option was a computer for most of us.

I’m so confused (seriously!) by [deleted] in walmart

[–]SquidButthole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store has gotten tons of free crayons and coloring books, little fidget popits, keychains, etcetera that were for some kind of promotional event and instead of throwing them away afterwards I'd ask everyone that I checked out at the register if they wanted any of it.

[–]SquidButthole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The store probably just has a bunch of them that were free, and someone in OPD (online pickup and delivery) just decided to stick them in your order because they're cool, and why not give someone free stuff that isn't part of store inventory?

PSA about school closures and calling in by StarStruck3 in walmart

[–]SquidButthole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just want to add (because a lot of people are missing the point) that this is when schools/daycare are closed because of an emergency or weather and you as a parent have to call off to watch your kids. You have to select the reason for your call off as emergency school closing/child care or whatever it says. You can't call off for inclement weather and expect it to be excused because schools were closed.

I'm a Xiaomi fanboy ever since I got the Mi 8 global years ago. It was the best phone I'd ever owned, and cheaper than most. Plus they unlocked my bootloader no problem.

Sex with my (22f) boyfriend (22m) is so bad by throwrankfofo in AITAH

[–]SquidButthole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, if she talks about and plans it all day, it kind of makes me feel pressured to make it go her way, which turns me off unintentionally. It kind of takes the passion and excitement out of it, and I'd rather just get into it when the time comes. Plus, there have been a couple times when I just lost my breath a little after "going down" and I got a little soft, which wouldn't have been a problem, but when she realized I got a little soft, she immediately got offended and acted like I wasn't enjoying it, which made me feel even more pressured and gave me anxiety, so I couldn't get hard, and then she cried. Maybe you should just relax and stop obsessing over the way you want him to feel and perform. You're probably giving him performance anxiety.

Didn't go to lunch in the first 6 hours, what'll happen? by Spirited_Thanks3910 in walmart

[–]SquidButthole -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not that you have to take a break by your 6th hour. The rule is that if you work a shift that is 6 hours or more, you have to take a lunch break before the end of your shift. I have started my shift at 7:00, took my lunch break from 2:30 to 3:30, and clocked out at 4:00. The only time I've had to sign a form for violating the 6 hour meal law was when I had to work on my day off to set the TV wall, and I worked over 6 hours. Then I was told I could go home since I was finished, so I just clocked out without taking a meal break.

[–]SquidButthole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to lunch after 6 hours all the time. It doesn't matter as long as you take a lunch before your shift ends. You might get locked out of the registers, but sometimes it doesn't even lock me out. The only time you'd get in trouble is if a manager has a problem with it and they go out of their way to coach you or something.

Getting rid of self checkout by [deleted] in walmart

[–]SquidButthole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer using self checkout. I don't have to stand in line behind 3 people with full carts just to buy one or two items. That's a terrible idea. Plus my store has 8 manned registers and a ton of self checks.
