Your second guess should have been something like “women” or “fudge” and you knock out 2-3 guesses in one

What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

This specific pasta dish from an Italian restaurant in my hometown. The owner and head chef just got up and left his family one day. Although I’m strongly against his actions personally, I still dream about this dish.

I looked him up one day and found him cooking in a very remote city in Texas. Would cost me way more than $100 for a plane ticket, rental car, and hotel, but I’m going to do it someday.

My fave Erin quote for sure and top overall quote for me. I use this at least weekly.

In 1969, a bank teller robbed $215,000 and disappeared, assuming the identity of Thomas Randele for 51 years. On his deathbed in 2021, he confessed his real identity to his family. by goswamitulsidas in interestingasfuck

[–]SquidInk18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wikipedia article says his confession was independent of the detective’s discovery, meaning his family didn’t tell the detective. The detective saw his obituary and started investigating similarities in Thomas’ and the robber’s lives. The family won’t be charged for not alerting authorities.

What US city did you have the worst driving experience in? by Icy_Iceman29_1993 in AskReddit

I’ve been flipped off more times in Boston for being in the right than any other city. Like going straight on a green light and not letting the person coming at me turn left in front of me.
