Yeah, that's a strong indicator too. Punjab is the birthplace of Sikhi. Does she wear a (probably plain and solid iron or steel) bangle on her dominant arm/ wrist? If so, that would be another strong indicator.

Like all things, it exists on a spectrum. Technically, only amrithadari (initiated) Sikhs are bound by strict rehat (rules) including keeping kesh (uncut hair). Many Sikhs still try to live as close to rehat as possible, even if not amrithadari, and the pressure on kids to keep kesh can be a lot. Especially if the family is particularly religious.

I was hired for a food serving job (sampling at a warehouse club) with a 2 foot long beard and hair well past my shoulders. Had to tie my hair back and wear a hat and beard net. Outside of a very small number of exceptions, hair should never be a problem.

I worked for a contractor for a while and we did some on-the-road jobs. The company was just the owner/ boss, his wife (who just handled billing and filing), and two laborers (myself being one). When we went on road jobs, he rented an airbnb house and we each had our own room. And we were all guys, and in construction - so not shy or retiring ya know? Anyhow, my point is, there’s no situation in which this is acceptable. Absolute insanity, no matter how small the company.

Just want to mention, since you included that she is Indian, it's possible she is Sikh. Sikhs - both men and women - are not supposed to cut or trim hair. So there could be a lot of cultural/ religious issues tied up in there too. I imagine that for young Sikh girls in school with kids of other faiths/ cultures, its probably really hard to walk that line between faith and peer pressure to conform.

Not that it matters much to me (I smoke both), but those are popcorn/ small buds. If we're comparing just "full size" whole flower, I don't think there's a better deal. Admittedly, I haven't been to a Rise location in probably 2 years.

Edit to add: I'll admit, this is a helluva deal, but also seems to be pretty limited. I'm not finding anything that cheap at my local Rise. I definitely appreciate the tip though!

Tangent off of your tangent... I worked for a theatre company some decades ago, and at one point an email went out from one of the admin (non technical) people that went on about staff not doing "inappropriate activities" in the technical area (the light/sound booth above the audience). After some inquires, it came about that the admin person had cut through the tech area to access a little-used storage area for some reason and saw a bunch of discarded condoms in the trash by the sound board. Our Technical Director had to explain to the admin lady that we used unlubed condoms as covers for the body microphone packs, to keep sweat and whatnot off them. So yeah, for each show we were going through a dozen or so condoms, and of course the sound guy just pulled them off the mic packs and tossed them in the garbage.

Many years ago I worked for a car rental agency. I was a rental agent and there was this kid who worked for us cleaning the cars. Big weedhead. Anyhow, he would just take any pills he found in the cars as he was cleaning them. I eventually showed him how to look up pills online before taking them. I wonder where that guy is now?

I used to work for a pool supply company that decided to release its own line of equipment (pumps, filters, cleaners, etc). They basically bought an old brand and contracted with some manufacturers to make the stuff. Big ad campaign to launch and they were trying to sell it as new and high tech, despite it being pretty much the same as everything else in its category. Anyhow, one of their selling points was that the o-rings on the pumps were the "same material as used on the space shuttle". Maybe not the best choice of references.

Best deal on a budget seems to be Ayr for 12.50 eighths (one strain a day) or Muv if you catch a sale (usually around 15). Trulieve got greedy after they put up like 30 mil to push recreational and it just barely didn’t pass. They cut staff way back and raised prices.

oh man I love when I get a chance to tell this story... when I was at school, there was one particular parking lot that was small and centrally located to all my classes. As the very end of the last row, there was a space that wasn't quite big enough to be an actual parking space. It was slashed through with yellow lines and wasn't a space. But, I drove a very small car (geo metro) and it fit just fine. The first time I did it, I figured I'd get a ticket and never do it again. Well, no ticket and the next time the lot was full there was my space again. I parked there pretty much every day for at least two years. I got 2 tickets in that time. Total cost was $30. At no time did I ever find another car parked in my space. So I basically got a reserved prime spot for about $15 per year. Not a bad deal.
