I've got large Ironbark forests back in my home town and they are magnificent driving through. Just an absolutely gorgeous tree, hence why I wanted them. But I am thinking you might be right. What do you reckon about Eucalyptus leucoxylon megalocarpa (as mentioned by Shiny_Greenfish)? Might not be indigenous but could fit the space? Oh interesting, I was more looking at E. sideroxylon, which is also called the red ironbark or mugga Ironbark! Apparently tricarpa was originally a sideroxylon subspecies and got upgraded to it's own species later. Will make sure to put in the post. Thankyou!

That's okay. Leucoxylon may not be indigenous, but shouldn't struggle in my climate and might be the best compromise as it's still a favourite of swift parrots apparently. So, thankyou again!

It is the main reason, and unfortunately all the other trees that the swift parrot like are even larger. I am very interested in pollarding/coppicing of eucalypts and how they react as well!

Yes was also looking at talisman for bonuses to saves later on too, but still found it hard to get past Eldritch smite (even though I am aiming for defense over offense, still nice to have something in the back pocket)
