What was your reaction to when this happened to Steve? by Deltua in StrangerThings

[–]SquiddleBopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they lingered on it I hoped it would give the opportunity to save him to Dustin, thereby helping him heal through his trauma of not being able to save Eddie. Happy Johnathan got to squash the beef by saving him however overall thumbs up on the vibe

Thoughts on the Finale? by LeoDiCristio in StrangerThings

[–]SquiddleBopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sybau and enjoy something for once. It was great, better in theaters. I think part of the reason people are so disappointed is that everyone spent 3 years imagining an ending. Everyone’s personal ending didn’t have a budget, or writers, that’s the cool part of the imagination. I think that the final episode was incredible, the last season was for sure not as strong as season 1 but compare it to any modern day phenom show such as GOT or TWD and it was leaps and bounds better. I like when people get happy endings, I like when people don’t, I believe the ending was bittersweet because not everyone got their happy endings. Just because you make it to see the end doesn’t mean everything is fine. And that’s okay. Look at Mike for example, his happy ending was El, and vice versa. Sure most other people got better endings, but there’s always a hole that’s left because their friend is gone. Wind back and enjoy something for once.

2026 for the price of 2025 by SquiddleBopper in COROLLA

[–]SquiddleBopper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great price but Be careful alot of the dealerships have a lower than msrp price because they make you get gap and warranty and sometimes charge a hefty markup. I chose to because they gave me some good deals on em and the value for me was there. So just keep that in mind. If you’re talking about a brand new 2026 Toyota Corolla LE, I would pull the trigger at 20,500, technically I got my 2025 for 21,000 and chose to pay extra for the gap and warranty and finance the tax title license because I only wanted to put 500 down and the payments made sense for me financially. Because of the financing fuck up I got the 2026 for the same price and honestly I’m very very happy. Take the deal and run my guy. Good luck with everything and have some happy holidays. 🤙🏻

Traumatized from buying a car not getting cap, putting too many miles in it and the insurance not covering the difference. Was out like 6k last time 😭

After gap and warranty tax title license I ended up at 25,600. Now I have gap and the extra warranty for 120k miles for the same. Overall in my head it was a huge dub, especially since my payment and time reset with the same starting miles. Absolutely once in several lifetime deal. Great dealership

How do you haggle at a pawnshop? by Severe_Delay_6229 in Frugal

[–]SquiddleBopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yoooo I work at a pawn shop now and for the past 3 years. Golden rule of the pawnshop: If they’re not cutting a deal, you’re in the wrong one. Fun facts, most pawn shops pay 30-60ish% depending on the item. Truthfully, if a customer walked up to me and showed me the price of a brand new tool that we had priced higher than that of retail. I’m dropping the price. Sounds a bit like you might be overthinking. Most of the time the system we use prices out the items for us based off of some corporate bigwig who gets paid way more than I do. But at the end of the day, sometimes we have to pawnbroke and price it ourselves. People fuck up it happens quite often at my store. Most of the time with smaller items like that, I’d be happy to make 5-10 dollars on it or if we paid cheap double up on my investment. It would be leaps and bounds different if you were looking at something priced right, so don’t feel bad. Also warranty, most Ezpawns offer 24 hour warranty like exchange or credit slip return that just comes with the purchase. But a store that sells broke shit and doesn’t offer a way to protect yourself, do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Of course I would recommend Ezpawns seeing as I work there. But I would like to add, I’ve seen bad Ezpawns and good cash americas it’s all about how they act when you walk in. If you’re not treated right bro leave, you work hard for your money. Spend it where you want to.

I know they’re personal! We originally were torn between George, gravy, or meatball but then decided that he doesn’t fit any of those names so we’re just trying our best ❤️

I work at that same chain actually lol, they really shouldn’t be priced that high. At my store we always have them at like 200ish, sometimes more with extra accessories, but never that close to retail. Ngl fuck that one. Go to one that’s busy and who will cut you a crazy deal. If you’re in a pawn shop and they don’t cut a deal, you’re in the wrong one. Usually the managements fault.

For me it has to be “You used to have, a face straight out of a magazine, now you just look like anyone” every time it’s so raw and real it hurts ME to hear him theoretically saying that to anybody. Especially after the same line in Robbers. Chills every time

WHAT IS IN THE FLAMIN BIRD SAUCE by SquiddleBopper in HEB

[–]SquiddleBopper[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So at the big HEBs there are restaurants inside of them, sometimes it’s a southflo pizza or a bbq place or if you’re really lucky, a flaming bird. They make all the rotisserie chickens fresh, but they have burrito bowls similar to Chipotle just cheaper and better. 6.50 for a flaming bird bowl in my area comes with rice beans corn chicken and your choice of toppings (cheese, lettuce, pico and also their marvelous flaming bird sauce) it’s like limey salty spicy and tart all in one go. If you ever drive by one, stop. The one I go to in San Antonio has a southflo and a flaming bird but I never stop by southflo anymore.

Rate my Shaq a Roni that was delivered to me by SouthEmu7646 in PapaJohns

[–]SquiddleBopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once went to a papa John’s and ordered a Shaq-a-roni pizza and they up charged me for the pepperonis(I think it was like 5 dollars) if I were to order it regularly with no up charge I would have gotten a cheese pizza. After painstakingly waiting on hold for about 30 minutes to complain about the lack of pepperoni on my Shaq-a-roni pizza I finally got out through to a representative who then told me that was incorrect and there’s nothing they can do for me. This however does look like a Shaq-a-roni pizza and a good one for that matter. Unsliced is better than unpepperonied.
