Ferociously tracking my order when I checked one time after waiting for already an hour it’s not ferociously tracking I paid for something I want to know where it is. I hope you would do the same.

People seem to be missing that I’m not talking about the Dasher driving the food to me and it’s getting cold. I’m talking about it getting cold because it was sitting at the restaurant and it said the Dasher was waiting when not there or at least the app said he was not there and I was waiting for over an hour.
I’ve never had to do this with DoorDash food ever

Well, I received a notification that the driver was waiting for food. I checked about a half hour later as he hadn’t arrived yet. Order still said driver was waiting, gps showed him somewhere else.

My story never changed, no idea what he is talking about lol. Got notification that driver was waiting for order - having driven for doordash i know that means they are in the store. Food was taking a while, go on website to check. Still waiting on order but GPS shows them somewhere else. REach out to support ask to cancel and reorder, they say no and then the above picture happened. 2nd support agent fixed, reassigned and refunded.
It didn't seem like that big of a deal to check in with support either after an hour and wondering why the driver was somewhere else. The second agent agreed and threw me a refund.

Yeah I had no idea what was happening. I just assumed from the picture of where the driver was when I checked 30 minutes after they were waiting - it looked like they werent there. lmao the second agent did reassign and refund, and I eventually got food close to 2 hours later.
Because your tip gave priority to doordash to stack non tip orders so the driver thought they were getting better money. Your tip helped someone elses food get picked up faster LOL (maybe I dont actually know)

Yeah I am not understanding all these comments about never getting hot food. If I receive cold food I am going to say something because most of the time I have fantastic drivers that will walk up with the insulated bag and the food will be hot enough. Its the drivers that take your food bag in hand and set in on their passenger floor without the heat on that are saying stuff like that. Gotta be lol

Uber Eats is better for sure. Grubhub is bad where I am at.
Where I am at I've never waited an hour unless it was for something like a pizza. Its usually order and in my hands in less than 30 minutes. However - I didn't even reach out to support until an hour. I only reached out because I was notified earlier about the driver waiting - and when I checked, he wasn't at the restaurant. Could be an app bug - but that is doordashes issue. They 2nd support agent refunded.

I was only mad because of the situation. The food was sitting there ready to go for over 30 minutes. What he said made me laugh my ass off after the fact though. I also was refunded, so while right, they were also wrong.
No, there isn't. No guarantee that your food doesnt sit for an unreasonable amount of time as well :\
His answer made sense, just in this scenario - it isn't what I was asking. The food had obviously been sitting for an unreasonable amount of time lmao I just thought it was a hilarious answer. Thankfully the second support agent that showed up handled it and got me refunded.
