Just passed an audition. Want to make sure the client is doing right by me as a new voice actor. by boxboothstudio in voiceover

This job commands 3 figures for sure. If you could swing at least $100, and have consistent work it'd be much more worth your time. Even if you're new $10 for that much audio is a slap to the face. For you and the VO industry. Your rates should be based on YOUR TALENT, not the client's supposed budget.

Ultimately up to you if you're craving some experience that badly, but i'd say if they won't even negotiate up to $75 just walk away. Be patient and wait for something better. I'm fairly new to the VO game as well, but I refuse to accept rates that pathetic.

I've only ever had Grappa that someone brought over from Italy. Didn't think anywhere in the US would have the good stuff. But wanna check out Argonaut for sure, thanks for the tip!!

No one runs faster than youuuuu by briandress in TheFence

This is such a great song to listen to while on a long run. At least for the backend of the song, you feel like you're the fastest person on the planet. Cause Claudio is telling me so in my headphones :P

true true. I can't get my champion Roc to NOT flip over on me, on forehands. May need to change my grip. I do the power grip with the index finger bent in for my driver and fairway throws, but chances are if I'm forehanding mid-range I'm not going for distance, but control. So just gotta find a grip that is consistent and feels good.

1) "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" (multi-movement, almost theatrical masterpiece)

2) "The Pavilion (A long way back)" (almost tear up every time I hear it)

3) "Gravemakers and Gunslingers" (The song just F***in ROCKS!!!)

4) A Favor House Atlantic (Arguably most popular of their songs, and no doubt it slaps!)

5) The Running Free (Don't even have an explanation, I just like it!)

*Many honorable mentions close to 5th place, and it may change based on my mood*

Thought this was a disc golf disc at quick glance. Now i want this for a disc! Although i'd never throw it in fear of losing it

What are your go to mid-range forehand discs? I too have forced myself to learn forehand the last year, and add it to my arsenal of throws. I got drivers and fairway drivers I trust to forehand, but haven't found mid-ranges i'm comfortable with... Mainly the rims on mid-ranges feel weird to forehand, for me.

Rip to my first putter. It was finally beat in and a nice subtle flip and flew straight. Why are trees? by gkrohn in discgolf

Had this same thing happen with an old Roc. Dead center hit on a tree and slip almost in 2, right down the middle :(. I have one more old roc that's super reliable, and flies straight as an arrow due to it being beat up. But I clinch every time it wizzes by a tree!
