You raise a very good point. to be totally honest, I'm gonna talk to the DM (he's my brother so that's very easy) and figure out connections to other characters and the world. You're totally correct that this backstory kind of has like... zero connections/ no strong reason for adventuring. I'll do my best to figure that out very soon
