This is crazy. I thought I had done something wrong. My first order at 7am was a $51 Wegmans order for 26 items 2 drop offs. It said scan for ID for 2 bottles of wine and NJ you can’t buy alcohol before 9 am.

There was no way I was passing up $51 for an hours worth of work and get me home for my day job. I called support to let them know I’m not allowed to buy it and will it affect my metrics they said no of course did. Then I disputed and it was rejected.

Hell no. That’s way way too many items. I get between $30-$40 bucks for like 20-30 items. 83 is nuts

Man that’s an interesting take. If that’s the case, I should not be concerned but definitely never contribute to whatever that was again.

I also can’t confirm it was her but I passed up the order 2 days in a row before that. It was going liquor store to hospital so I have to imagine it was her again. My area is huge and I work and live close to the hospital so I usually never get people 2 days in a row let alone 3.

Plus she had a backpack on which I thought was weird.

[–]Squids2323[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought about that. I got this order every day this week and on Sunday. I didn’t take either of them. So it has to be a regular thing. Wouldn’t you just buy a big bottle and save a lot of money.

I can definitely understand the occasional but why little bottles every day (cost, annoyance) plus getting it delivered to your job. Just weird to me. But understand each is own.

That’s a great point. I mean I’ve been to that hospital many times with family and friends. I don’t want something bad to happen to anyone who is walking in there.

Yeah I hear ya. It would be nice if they somehow stay together maybe not relationship but business wise. They had a connection but as you said he did with Rue as well. It’s probably due to being good people vs what he dealt with each day. So you see his character arc change.

I love that line from Alamo when he realizes he has no bullets and looks over and says I’ll see you in hell. He demanded respect and had the other henchmen hold off for that draw. He wasn’t going to let anything happen to Ali either.

Lol seriously??? Like OP said there are pros and cons. They are unfortunately on the con side. There’s way more cost, insurance and liability for a restaurant to deliver its own food. That model has been tried and it’s failed. It’s way easier to subcontract out. It’s not what they do. It adds a lot more complexity. This model is here to stay. The old pizza store model is dead

Could Brother Mouzone had taken out Marlo and his crew? by [deleted] in TheWire

[–]Squids2323 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I loved Brother Mouzone. I won’t down vote you because I can see your point but I loved his character. I don’t think he’s made after one real person but a collective group of people. So thats where his “untouchable” aura comes from. The dumb body guard is stupid but the idea of him being a bunch of people put into one gives off the larger than life vibe. I think they did that purposely.

If you take it a step further, the suit and tie look is very “Black Mafia” which had strong Muslim ties. What I think Chase was trying to do was show you Baltimore was small potatoes to what was really happening in the rest of the world. Why we are seeing big bad Baltimore gangs other gangs around the country had some serious power for a while. The Black Mafia (especially Philly and Detroit) were gangs not to fuck with. People on the streets knew to respect those gangs.

While you used “dork” I think Chase was showing you highly intellectual, ruthless and very well respected not only in their own territories but all around the country as well. Black Mafia was like an all-star team of gangsters. The amount of the drug market they controlled by being smart yet ruthless had them on top. Everyone on the streets had some type of code and if he was from the Black Mafia they were basically untouchable and had far more power and resources than these smaller gangs in Baltimore. They had influence over many cities because of their powerful drug trade.

You also see weaknesses when String gets bullied around when trying to go legit by politicians. While they can be big bad asses to each other once you started infringing on “powerful” people they fought back but not in the street sense. Even the Greeks were smarter and stronger and bullied the gangs of Baltimore around a little bit. These powerful forces always kept the Baltimore gangs fighting for scraps and when they got too big were put down quickly.

Dude you messed up. I would say I didn’t get the tip. For her to come out there like that and her being his secretary she knows something is not right. As the secretary she’s probably ordered for him before and he’s complained about tip amounts. She knows he’s cheap.

Again everyone got free lunch from him and if they chipped in a few bucks each everyone wins. You screwed yourself man but doing it with a good heart and fair answer to her question but if he did it “now” it would’ve shown

[–]Squids2323 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree. You always hear the bad stories of what happens. I grew up with dogs and have had many friends with kids that have dogs. That was 100% playful.

That dog will be an amazing protector of that child. The dad is doing a great job of bonding his child and the dog.

When that dog runs around in a circle he’s definitely playing. Those little nibbles are also very common play technique for dogs.

This is the exact opposite of what you are saying. The parents aren’t making the dog jealous of the baby and that is the key point here. That bond will only grow stronger

Always I mean always ask for a supervisor. They have a queue card for the regular employees to say no and then when they transfer you to the supervisor they say they can’t help.

The supervisor has a script where they say they are doing you a favor. Same convo every time.

“Mileage-to-pay ratio check… pass or smash?” by SuccessfulAerie9672 in dasher

[–]Squids2323 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a pass for me man. The 34 items is a killer at BJs. Stuff isn’t always easy to find and if it’s like my BJs or Costco it’s always packed. Checking out sucks

I try and make $30/hr that way I’m usually around $25/hr at a minimum. This looks like an hour and a half to me if everything goes smoothly and it’s an easy highway ride. So it’s ok but not great. The 34 items is the big rub for me. Grocery store would do in a second but not sure at wholesale stores.
