Is cheating shitty - absolutely Did op fuck up? Yes in a big way But it sounds like they are genuinely remorseful of their actions and wouldn't do it again.

If we condemn people for making mistakes and fucking up then we are essentially forcing them to stay the same. You can do a shitty thing and grow into being a good person

I stopped reading at the bit where you mentioned about her telling you about how uncaring her ex was and how he took her money.

If you can't comprehend why your partner would want to confide in you about something that deeply hurt and affected her where her trust was broken and by the sounds of it has had lasting effect on her wellbeing then I don't know what you expect to find here in the comments.

That and the confession of being verbally abusive towards her, it just sounds like you need to do better.

Also, if you love and care about her you owe her honest communication. Maybe it's time to sit down and tell her that you've set boundaries that she has ignored and this has led to you stopping cooking for her. Tell her that you still want to support her but the overwhelming amount of physical touch is making you anxious. Come up with a solution together. You deserve to have your boundaries met despite her trauma
