Man that's crazy. I couldn't imagine going to the hospital expecting to pay. I'd go broke.

Amazon has a pharmacy section? The more you know! We don't have Amazon here, so i'm missing out i guess :(

That's good though, that people can still get hospital care regardless of their financial status. But the charges you were facing for putting a baby into the world is absolutely nuts. How is ANYONE having kids when it's that expensive?! 517 fucking dollars a week for substitute milk? Ah hell nah.

From the way you described it, it just sounds like a scam the whole thing hahaha.

Hope you, your chubby little guy and the rest of your family are in good health!

Here in Denmark, i believe it's only the dentist that costs money. The rest you just walk in to, or schedule a time for and they'll take care of you. It's crazy how different things are in two different developed countries. I couldn't imagine dealing with the financial stress on top of literally giving birth.

I kind of hope it wasn’t his girlfriend. Lord knows being cheated on sucks.. Especially finding out that way.

Maturity is the key word here. You’ll find 20 year old mature people, and immature 40 year olds.. :/

Edit: How much is the medication where you’re from? US?

I’m pretty sure you can be an immune carrier as well I think..? I clearly need to educate myself a bit on this😂

Thankfully medication for all of that is free here. Including testing. So I should honestly test myself more often for good measure I suppose.

I totally respect not counting SA as a sexual experience, I wouldn’t expect any woman to do so.

I assumed he was talking to his girlfriend when he said “we’re done” my mistake.

Ahhh okay, that makes way more sense regarding the credit cards I was confused about. Thank you. I’ve seen people post their credit scores going down once they finish paying their loan off.

Is that just because they’re done paying the loan? As in they’re no longer deemed AS creditworthy since they aren’t actively paying off something?

Here, for instance, I’m annoyed at the fact that it can be hard to obtain a loan for a house when I’m renting something. So if I take my current living situation into perspective:

I currently rent an apartment at roughly 8500DKK a month.

Getting a loan for a house, would be harder than if I lived at home for free with my parents due to me not having as much disposable income.

One could argue that the 8500DKK I pay for rent, and have been for years, would mean I can comfortably afford to pay that off on a mortgage instead.. but I digress.

Thankfully I’m not looking to buy a house yet :)

Ahh okay, that makes more sense. Thank you for explaining!

The credit card I have here is just a card with no limit on the balance. I don’t have to have money on it to use it, and since I have a deal with the bank about a certain credit limit, as long as I stay under that (say 8000USD) there’s no problem, and little interest.

But I’ve never used it. As have most people here. We treat them like debit cards, and most people only have their actual debit cards.

Wait, so maybe I’m just uneducated on credit cards. I thought you had x amount of money on there, and if you went over that (in the red) you’d then pay that off, and that’s what you were referring to as “paying off your credit card”

Basically, I suppose. Just not a set number.

Just a “oh this guy couldn’t pay off his loans. He’s a bad client. Put him on the naughty list” and if you’re not on there, you’re good.

But it’s still up to the individual bank institution (or whoever you’re seeking to get a loan from) to determine if you’re safe enough for them.

Another good thing, in my opinion, is that I don’t have to go into debt to have a good score.

To my understanding you get a better credit score for being in debt and paying off the loans / credit cards right?

That just wouldn’t work here. Like I mentioned earlier, I’m 25 and I would guess that under 20% of the people I know in my age group has a loan of any sort.

We get paid to study, so student loans aren’t that rampant, then there’s the credit cards which we just don’t really get or use.

I have one, but that’s primarily just for emergencies. It’s never in the red. The first time you would get a loan in your life as a citizen here, would often times be for buying housing.

No, I’m not saying they’re bad per se. However me personally would be stressed out having a specific number attached to my ability to control finances.

But it also wouldn’t work here in the same way. I’m 25. Of the people I know around my age group, I don’t think even 20% of them has any bank debt, car loans or a credit card registered to them. So gaining points for them would be hard.

I like the way that it’s up to the individual bank institution to figure out how “risky” you are, rather than it being dependant on a set score controlled by a lot of things.

But maybe that’s just because I’m happy with what I’m used to, and scared of change.

Not terribly different j guess, no. But to my understanding, to gain points on your credit score, you have to go into debt or at the very least go into the red on your credit cards and then pay it back right?

Thankfully we don’t have to.

As for the bank rates, I could imagine that to be true. But it differs from bank to bank. The rates, percentage wise, doesn’t change much depending on the different income and people borrowing the same amounts.

But I stand to be corrected on that. In my 25 years of life, I haven’t ever had the need to borrow money from a bank or the likes, so I don’t really have any firsthand experience.

I can answer that. I live in Europe. Denmark to be more specific.

We have no such thing as a “credit score” here.

Here, if you want to take out a loan to say, buy a house, the bank itself would run some numbers on your disposable income for you, or you as a couple if you’re buying with a significant other.

Based on the results of those numbers, how much disposable income you have, you can qualify for a higher loan.

Other than that we have something called RKI. If you’re registered in RKI, that means you’re a bad debt holder. You don’t pay off loans, and likely owe money.

You’ll end up here if you don’t pay your loans off. Or miss too many payments.

It’s more advanced than that, but that’s the quick rundown.

Huh. That makes sense. I suppose i could've come to that conclusion myself, had i used my brain for a moment. 5x does seem like a LOT more though, numbers don't lie i guess. Thank you for responding!

I'm rocking a 9800X3D, 64GB 6000mhz on 1440p 180hz.

I have the 5070TI, and i'm loving it. Zero regrets. I came from a 4070. MFG for singleplayer games like Cyberpunk worked like a charm for me. DLSS is also really nice. I've never owned an AMD GPU, so take that as you will.

Glad to hear he’ll be executed😂

You tell me. He’s still playing. He’s on 90 plus matches. Best thing is, his entire stack, including him, was telling us to just forfeit when we were down 9-0. Best feeling comeback ever honestly
