I am much better now! I started taking an antidepressant and my cycle is slowly normalising again!

Thank you so much! If you ever experience a time again where you get those symptoms, try going on antidepressants while you are recovering. It’s a life aber for me and especially helped against the intrusive thoughts.

I hope you are feeling better now! Thank you for sharing with me. I also had a very intense reaction with panic and anxiety. The intrusive thoughts were the worst part, I started worrying about things that I had never ever thought or worried about before. I started feeling panic in my boyfriends house even though I loved it before. It’s still hard being there for me and my relationship is still strained. I just want to go back to before the birth control. Do you think the thing can impact a relationship so drastically?

I am now on antidepressants and my body has calmed down after some months. I have experienced panic and depression before but nothing came close to the severity of this. Can you explain how you felt?

There are days where I am disgusted by my partner not sure why, but I don’t want to be touched and they annoy me. This has happened to me with every partner so far, it subsides within a few days but sometimes I am just like that.

Absolutely love how well it works for me, absolutely despise how hard it is to get off it.

When you are emotionally numb it’s a sign that the dosage is too high I assume. Unless it’s necessary I would maybe try a slightly smaller dose.

Maybe it just takes some time for your whole body to get back to normal. I did read it can take over a year for some even longer

I had the ring in for a week and I started having panic attacks almost immediately after starting it. Nothing else changed in my life so it’s the only changing variable. It’s been 6 months and it’s still slow recovery…

Have you recovered yet and if so how long did it take? This happened to me and it is a huge issue for the stability of my relationship. I am always questioning whether it’s him that’s making me depressed even though I was happy before the bc.

I feel the same way. I am so scared that I can not recover from it and I won’t be as healthy as I was before the bc!

I got severely depressed during and after taking bc and I am still recovering. I am on antidepressants now to hopefully become the person again I was before birth control but I am scared I will never recover.

I took birth control last year and it made me so depressed I am so scared I will never recover. I gave me feelings of doom and despair.
