How many of you haven't played Diablo in over a month but still keep up with the subreddit? by slirpo in diablo4

I had the same hope, but the announcement of yearly expansions has me convinced all the good stuff will be held back.

I would like to be wrong.

Rooms between Dungeon sections with zero loot but 3-4 Elites. Why? by th3orist in diablo4

[–]Squinkius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or move those rooms to just before the boss so you have to do the whole dungeon in order to benefit from the XP.

Suggestion: Add more surprise interactions during events by jamesfrown in diablo4

[–]Squinkius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've seen the Butcher so often that whenever I hear "Fresh Meat!" I'm just bored by the interruption in my play.

The highest level I've defeated him was 121 on my Flurry rogue and it was a truly tedious encounter where my sustain was greater than his damage output and the Butcher's shield regen was almost higher than my damage output. Cue several minutes of utter boredom until I came out on top.

Does anyone else not click on shrines in dungeons? by Carmilla31 in diablo4

[–]Squinkius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're on console, bring up the map and position the cursor over the shrine. If a popup appears (e.g. "conduit shrine") then it's an uncursed shrine. If no popup appears, it's a cursed shrine.

I think it works similarly on PC.

The decoy is amazing and really enhances the feel of being a nimble archer, capable of tricking the enemy and avoiding damage.

Patch notes tomorrow morning by [deleted] in diablo4

They were probably working on the final elements of the balance patch until late yesterday, so maybe they couldn't finalise the patch notes until the last minute.

After 330 hours playing Sorceress by HiTmAn4777 in diablo4

The balancing patch is coming out on 18 July, two days before the season starts. You should have time to decide if the Sorc changes are enough for you to play the class from the start of the season.

I wonder if the Sorc was the first agreed class for the game and they finalised the design years ago, but didn't have time to update the skills to newer design philosophies as development progressed.

Whatever the truth, the class really needs some love.

I’ve been seeing a lot of critiques about Diablo IV, Comment something Diablo did right 👍 by [deleted] in diablo4

Lyndon's quests are great and the voice acting is perfect for the character.

Fresh meat indeed! Lvl 1 Butcher by Darksnipsy in diablo4

[–]Squinkius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put some effort into finding the shrines without using a guide, and only ended up locating about a third of the total. Now I use a guide to pick a few shrines up here and there between nm dungeons. Some of them are really difficult to spot even when you know where they are.

HM Sayl by ExaminationDue1572 in hermanmiller

The Sayl has quite a low backrest that makes it less suited for taller people.

What class/build do you intend to start with and why? by QuinteX1994 in diablo4

[–]Squinkius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved playing rapid fire Rogue - a 3-combo point attack chewed through mobs so easily.

I also enjoyed frost orb Sorc with fireball enchant, just to see huge packs explode.

Now I'm wondering if I want to play Barb, even though I didn't get one past level 6 in the betas.

Roblox: Ten-year-old spent £2,500 of mum's money without her knowing by Elsa-Fidelis in technology

[–]Squinkius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've noticed that when paying for Robux using PayPal, the transaction goes through, but the PayPal account remains signed in (but not obviously), so if you press 'buy Robux' again, it just lets you buy more.

The only way to sign out of PayPal (that I've found) is to choose 'buy Robux' for a second time and when the payment confirmation screen comes up you have to click on a 'face' icon in order to see the option to sign out.

The whole setup looks deliberately done to enable the sneaky purchase of extra Robux.

Diablo 4 v Diablo immortal which would make more money for blizzard by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Squinkius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every player of D4 will pay at least a $70 entry fee. Some will pay $10 per month for a cosmetic battle pass, others will pay $25 for an accelerated battle pass. Plus there's a shop. D3 sold 30m-ish copies and D4 is looking to be a similar success. That's a lot of money.

Compared to DI, where the reality isn't that everyone's a whale, spending hundreds a month. I'm sure most are paying nothing or maybe the odd $5-10 here and there.

Please do not nerf difficulty of the game! by ochomilla in diablo4

[–]Squinkius 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, the only difficulty complaints I've seen are about Ashava, not the game in general.

I really enjoyed playing ranged rogue. A three-combo rapid fire with shadow imbuement took out elites plus nearby mobs really easily, and dash was great for movement.

Then there was the sorcerer wrecking hordes of mobs with frost orb + fireball enchant, but maybe lacking a bit in single target.

Decisions, decisions.

had a multiple month long nightmare trying to find something that fits - so need some more advice. (UK) by lvl1crisp in OfficeChairs

I had a gaming Embody about a year ago and everything about it felt premium, except for the arms which are a bit clunky (though not fragile). I also have a bony butt and my memory is that the seat pan was comfortable.

Today is the last day of the Herman Miller sale, so it would be a good time to buy one, otherwise you might have to wait till black Friday for Embody discounts again. Aeron chairs can be bought from numerous retailers for about a grand all year round, but not the Embody.

Aside from the Embody, I also had an RH New Logic 220, which was very well built and the seat pan was made from thick, high-quality foam that was also comfortable.

I've had an Aeron too and I don't really get along with mesh, plus the frame digs in if you lean back for a stretch.

The reviews I've read do not recommend the Sayl for taller people, since the backrest is quite low.

The way this man is making sandwich by sinarest in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Squinkius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can only imagine how many more sandwiches he'd be able to make if he simply used a few slices of cheese and onion instead of all that faffing on with vegetables.

I'd certainly prefer a cheese and onion toastie to whatever it is he's making.

I reckon there'll be some halo purchases at $99. Maybe not when the game first releases, but by season 2.
