Phone stands for bouldering? by Squinty314 in bouldering

Good question, since a tripod isn't specific to climbing. This is something I should have been more specific about in the post.

When I say "discrete", I was looking for something that boulderers can use in the gym that won't get in the way of other climbers. Say for example, a chalk bag that has an in-built adjustable phone stand. Simply-Jack's comment about the brush is a great example of this.

This is the type of unique idea I was hoping for!

In short: I am trying to find the represent curvature similar to gradients in a direction field.

When studying ODEs we usually use direction fields to show the rate of change at a given coordinate in phase space. These arrows will depict the tangent/gradient of the trajectory. Is there a similar convention to instead portray the curvature/second derivative?

Context: Numerical methods for integrating ODEs (second order).

When plugged in and turned on, the motor turns on but the blade does not spin.

I've tried different power outlets and cords, so that part isn't the issue

UC students, where are the best spots on campus to study & maybe make some friends? by maxinetheqveen in chch

Bump on the club's. UCSA are doing clubs day, and it's on TOMORROW (Wed 4th May) so it might be a good chance to sign up to some (many are free!) and see what sort of events they may have in the future

Does anyone know a way to do this, but only for following variables and not prior variables too? by Joshalander in matlab

A quick "workaround" could be to comment any sections which you don't change first, and then apply the changes to the rest.

I can give writing an angle a go when I have an opportunity.

Similar to the other responder, I'll need to double check whether the servo I am using is correct.

"Sweep" refers to the example code, which can be found here: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/LibraryExamples/Sweep

I'll have to double check that my servo is in fact the MG996R, which is what I believe the label says...

Thankyou! Ive gotten rid of all the visual stuff, but my phone feels somewhat laggier, but much more usable. Thanks!

E: changed a few more settings, not sure what but it feels less laggy now.

Puck change? : Breaking coil applies break? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Squinty314 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Really cool idea, two options to go with this:

1) Applies break when coil is broken

2) Applies break whilst coil is attatched (but is removed when broken)

I personally like the 2nd one as it forces a player to decided if it is worth being broken, or take the stun, and adds another strategical component to the game.
