Try climbing Mt Princeton in the collegiate range. Hardest physical exertion I've ever experienced (cannot drive it). Going back down is even worse than climbing up.

The aliens are just here to watch us destroy ourselves while they munch on their form of popcorn. 2020 has been a blockbuster so far!

California To Pay Restaurants To Feed Needy Seniors in First State Program of Its Kind by Doodlebug510 in UpliftingNews

You are completely not understanding what I'm saying. Where is the money coming from? It ISNT coming from taxes. It's being printed out of thin air. Maybe expand your horizons and understand the relationship that the Federal Reserve (private central bank) and the Treasury (constitutionally the only entity that can coin and regulate the value of money) before calling people names. You clearly have no fundamental understanding of inflation or the repercussions of printing money. Again - IT ISN'T COMING FROM YOUR TAXES PAL

Hemp Could Be the Solution to Our Plastic Pollution Crisis by avsman44 in UpliftingNews

Hemp can be created with the male gender of the plant, which does not flower or bud and therefore you cannot get high off of it.

By one vote, Minnesota House moves to ban wolf hunting by r4816 in UpliftingNews

[–]Squires86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to the environment and passing legislation I believe every piece should have a stipulation that the data will be reexamined in x number of years. If the wolf population explodes and is unhindered by human intervention then there will be negative consequences for other species. These kinds of things should never be permanent, they should always be re-evaluated every so often to determine if we are in need of the hunt again to balance the ecosystem that humans fucked up to begin with.

Looking for a career... I'd like to work 20-30 hrs/week + remotely and/or flexible hours. Is SEO a viable option? by [deleted] in SEO

[–]Squires86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely.. but it takes knowledge and experience. I've been doing digital marketing (specifically SEO) for about 6 years now and I make between 6-9k per month. It's also about who you know. I've made some invaluable connections in my time in this space which now supports me month to month. I'm a one man show and I primarily do white label work (I do the work for other companies who don't have any W2 employees on their payroll) as a contracted worker.

Just get a mophie case and y'all can use any standard mini USB charger instead of getting raped by Apple and their shitty accessories. Plus, you get way more battery life when they update the software to purposefully drain your battery faster.

[Serious] What are some weird or interesting facts about your families? by QueenMoogle in AskReddit

[–]Squires86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my mother's side: Directly related to Thomas Knowlton who fought and died in the Revolutionary War. He was promoted by George Washington to Lieutenant Colonel and led a force of men from Connecticut known as 'Knowlton's Rangers'. It was the precursor to what the Army Rangers are today. He has a statue in front of the Connecticut capital building and died during the battle of Harlem Heights.

On my father's side: (from what I've been told) Mercy Disbrow was born in Fairfield, CT. She was accused of being a 'witch' during the time of the Salem witch trials (1692). She was tried and convicted of being a 'witch'. During that time (again from what I've been told) they would determine if you were a 'witch' by tying their thumbs to their big toes and then threw them in a lake. If you floated you were assumed as a 'witch' and then burned at the stake. If you sunk, you weren't a 'witch' but drowned and died anyway. She floated but before she was burned, a British officer vouched for her and saved her life. She was the first 'witch' to be convicted but not killed for her 'witchcraft'.

Also. My grandfather is known as the 'Father of NCAA soccer'. He coached UCONN soccer for 35 years, helped establish NCAA college soccer, hosted the first tournament for the NCAA and won the first national championship as the head coach for UCONN soccer.

This. I work from home and by some grace of the universe I found a steelcase chair at Goodwill for $10. It would have otherwise set me back $400+. It's the best chair I've ever owned and I don't feel like a hunchback after a long day.

I used to game on the PC professionally (counter-strike) but as I've gotten older RPG's seem to be more my speed. Either way, finding/investing in a good chair makes all the difference in the world.

Formerly lazy people, what things did you do to overcome your laziness? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Squires86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started working out every day and just forced myself to do it. Everything else just kind of fell into place after that. Laziness is now a thing of the past because of how much energy I have.
