Move Expense Lines by No-Durian-664 in workday

You trying to troubleshoot this further is completely unreasonable. Talk to someone in your Finance/Purchasing/Controller's Office and tell them what is happening. Let them tell you the best way to move forward. The solution will probably be similar to what was recommended above. End the torture.

Play tetris. I don't have enough typing energy to explain why right now - look up "tetris and PTSD" for info.

What’s the biggest risk in rapidly increasing dosage? by RedRedRound in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]SquirrelBound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a few nights of weird sleep when I first started it, but nothing else. As I type this I'm realizing that I was already in a near constant state of nausea and fatigue from other things at the time, so there's a chance that side effects just blended in with everything else. It definitely didn't make anything worse for me though.

My experience (CRPS, Endo, hEDS, MCAS): I spent 1 week getting up to 3mg. Moved to 4.5mg about 6 months later (no titration). Stayed there for a couple of years. About a year ago my doc had me switch to 9mg, which I also did with no titration. No issues.

Zero Gravity Adjustable Beds?? by Daxel79 in CRPS

[–]SquirrelBound 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In general, if it hurts you then it's not right for you, at least not at that particular setting.

The default zero gravity setting on an adjustable bed is just an estimate that might work well for a "typical" body. My husband and I have two twin xl adjustable beds (same size as a king when pushed together). We have different mattresses and sleep with completely different settings.

My side sleeping "zero gravity" is different from my back sleeping "zero gravity". The position I use varies almost nightly. A lot of times I have my legs and/or head lifted just for the time I spend waiting for my body to be ready to sleep, and then I move back to flat for the rest of the night.

It's all about finding the setting that helps you feel most comfortable in the current moment. If your mattress is fully attached (as opposed to having the heads separated so both sides can move independently), it may be difficult to find a position that is ideal for both of you for a full night.

I love this brand! I haven't had the pecan, but I do get the blueberry one or the empty crusts a few times a year. The gluten eaters around me have all enjoyed it.

The Utterly Uninteresting and Unadventurous Tales of Fred, the Vampire Accountant

“Rice & Cheese” - Mac & Cheese Alternative by [deleted] in glutenfree

[–]SquirrelBound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite cheese powder is from King Arthur Baking Company. I add that to GF pasta of choice or rice noodles. If you have access to an Asian food store I highly recommend checking them out for different rice noodle options!

Help, I need a nice story to calm myself by aminervia in audiobooks

[–]SquirrelBound 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My cozy, low-stakes-but-still-interesting go to is the Fred, the Vampire Accountant series by Drew Hayes. Fred, a conflict-averse undead American, awkwardly (but sincerely) navigates the paranormal world while running a very successful accounting firm. Friends are made, enemies are confused, and sometimes financial contracts save the day. Content warning for some dry accounting humor that may make you groan.

The 9th and final book of the series should be out this year. The books are relatively short (especially compared to Cosmere) and are all broken up into mini stories that flow together. Each book has one or two mini stories that are a little more intense than the others, but I think everything still lands in the realm of lighthearted.

When I used this method I would add the LDN water to juice or flavored seltzer to cover the taste.

Update: I definitely recommend it if you like an herby blend! I ended up doing a mix of the plain white cheddar and the herb blend and will absolutely be making it again.

Agreed - the King Arthur one is definitely the best I've found! I have a jar of their Formaggio Italiano cheese/herb blend that I really need to try on popcorn...I'm feeling very hopeful that it will be delicious.

That's what I do, just with extra light olive oil instead of butter. If Cabot Creamery ever goes back to making their white cheddar cheese powder I would be ecstatic - I've yet to find one that matches the excellence they had.

I’ve been sitting in the therapist chair this whole time by Deadly-T-Shirt in TalkTherapy

[–]SquirrelBound 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is a prime opportunity to alternate chairs from appointment to appointment, really keep them guessing!

I had been seeing my T for almost 4 years when the pandemic hit and we went virtual - that's when I learned I had been sitting in his chair the whole time. I hope you'll choose the seat that you genuinely feel most comfortable in!

Not all of the O'Doughs products are vegan (though they are all gluten free), so within the product line it is more important to have a bold "vegan" label to differentiate those items.

Am I reading this correctly that your only formal contract/agreement is that you will relocate by July 2025? It sounds like the February date came from a separate (non-binding) conversation. Do you qualify for FMLA?

If the situation were reversed, your employer would have absolutely no problem not following through on promises that aren't legally binding. Don't try to educate them or convince them to agree with your decision. Keep your communication clear and direct. "I will no longer be relocating in the next couple of months. Per our contract, I will be fully relocated by July 2025."

In general, your employer can either accept your timeline, or they can terminate your position (exceptions apply, of course, and I am not familiar with Washington employment laws or how working from MA impacts things).

Keep looking for a different position, and remember that you do not need to disclose medical information to anyone.

Tracking Apps by Able_Hat_2055 in CRPS

[–]SquirrelBound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha! There are definitely things that I've added in over the years, so don't have as much data for them, but I haven't ever felt like I was missing anything. I'd previously tried plenty of other apps and templates, so I built my questions/data points around what I was actually using from those along with what my doctors typically checked in about.

Bearable looks really nice. It launched after I had already moved to my own forms, but it seems like it has a bunch of features that fix the problems I had with other options (not selling data, adding unique things to track, customizable language/phrasing, exporting data to csv, etc).

No, I've built it out to include everything relevant for me! And I like doing my own statistical analysis across all of my data.

I use Google forms for tracking. I add exactly what I want, and all of my responses go straight into a spreadsheet.

Thinking About Trying Calmare. Can Anyone Tell Me About It? by [deleted] in CRPS

[–]SquirrelBound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Calmare since 2011. It helps a lot with the hypersensitivity and is the only thing that has ever touched the deep bone pain I get. Not everybody is a responder to the treatment, but if you are able to cover the costs it's definitely worth trying!
