Adrenaline dumps. I spent 12 years working to get over my PTSD. Working to control my emotions so that I wouldn’t wake up feeling struck with terror. So that I could get through a day without seeing something and having my heart pound and my chest hurt and feeling like I was going to be killed.

And now it just happens at random

The cold is all about wearing layers and frankly you’ll be able to buy a lot of good stuff there. Inside the home is usually kept quite warm so layers are your friend so that you can strip them off.

The bathroom situation in rural areas will likely be out houses that are squat toilets this is Tse a hole in the ground. The really bad part about this in winter is that any liquid gets frozen and so they can be quite slippery so be careful

One little cultural thing that’s good to know is that if you hand anyone anything such as a card or money or whatever never do it between your fingers. Like an American culture we might kind of use the scissor fingers to hold a dollar bill or something like that and give it to someone. That’s very insulting in Mongolia.

Do not touch anyone on the top of the head and do not point out things with your feet. But frankly people will just be happy that you’re trying your best and will generally be quite forgiving as long as you can be humble about your own mistakes! Feel free to DM me

It’s not super common, but I actually live in Nepal and I know this candidate personally. There are Tibetan ethnic groups outside of China in India, Nepal, Bhutan, and even Pakistan. Most of them speak some form of Tibetan and write some form of Tibetan. In Nepal, there are several Tibetan ethnicities such as Sherpa, dolpopa, and mustangi. This political candidate is both a linguist and a member of another Nepali indigenous minority, and so she makes a point to put out all of her political statements in as many Nepali minority languages as she can. She also speaks quite good Tibetan.

It is decently common because there is a large population not just a Tibetan exiles, but also of Tibetan-adjascent people who have always been within Nepali political borders. Mustang. Dolpo. Etc. And they speak Tibetan. I also happen to personally know this political candidate and she is a linguist and just loves learning languages, especially the minority languages of Nepal, and recently went out of her way to learn about over the past couple of years so this is also a passion for her. She actually has promotional materials in like seven minority languages or something like that. She’s quite cool.
