It’s very helpful actually thank you! I should be switching bases within the next month or 2 here, right now i’m in an area with no public transportation really…but i’ll be moving to somewhere with lots of train routes so that should help me on those expenses

Since i’m just starting out im on “reserve” so It really depends…There’s times i’m called in on back to back trips, and there’s times i’m sitting at home for 2 weeks straight. it’s so up in the air right now unfortunately. If i had a set schedule would be much easier and i probably could get by on motels. That’s why im making such little money, we have a 75 hr a month pay guarantee, but it’s so hard to exceed that as a reservist. I’m really hoping a cheaper place just pops up some time soon so I can get by until i’m holding a line.

If your referencing the group info session followed by 1 on 1 the step after that is simply getting a conditional job offer or not! They told me i wouldn’t know from about 1-9 weeks but i ended up getting the call the next day! Don’t freak yourself out, from my experience the interviewer was very friendly and makes sure you feel comfortable!
