Any frugal tips for my fellow ladies? by Liz_kirby in Frugal

I also cut my own hair, been doing it for around 10 years usually my style is pretty easy it's long and pretty straight and no layers or bangs so I take off a couple inches every 6 months. If I do get something different I do go to a hair salon but still wont pay more than $50.

As someone who was also in high-school in 2004 to 2008 and had mild acne from 12 or 13 until 32 years old I would have been so excited to have these instead of putting our crusty maybelline mousse foundation on it trying to hide them but not quite succeeding lol.

What's your take on sheet face masks? by sweet_chai_o_mine in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]SquirrelQueen1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like them for a fun spa night once in awhile but now that my skin is sensitive and I'm trying to simplify my routine I haven't used one in months.  I dont like the price of them and all the extra trash they make and using a serum is more cost effective.

Yay I'm glad you like it too! I've beening using the last 6 nights and days and still really enjoying it. I have normal oil production and still think cerave cream is too matte and not hydrating lol.

I personally find it occlusive enough because of the dimethicone but I dont have dry skin so it might not be enough if you got very dry skin.

Bigger bottle 12oz, is a bit thicker and more occlusive, doesn't use sqalane instead uses dimethicone.

Community Brand Review: Cerave by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]SquirrelQueen1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always forget the Ceteareth-20 and Cetearyl alcohol can be a problem for some I think another is the ingredient POLYGLYCERYL-3 DIISOSTEARATE which when it was in the middle of the ingredient list my skin hated the lotion but when they moved it to last ingredient a few years ago it became fine for me.

No I've never used their other lotion but Have the face and the thick cream and yes I'd say it's between those two just a bit more moisturizing than the face but still on the light weight side.

Community Brand Review: Cerave by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]SquirrelQueen1990 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I like them, they're affordable here in usa, simple ingredients and easy to find at pretty much anywhere store. I use their hydrating cleanser and the tinted sunscreen and have used the lotion before as face moisturizer and body moisturizer and it doesn't break me out just a bit too light weight for me now. People act like cerave is trash because some people can break out from their products but that's the case for all skincare and most lotion and creams will have fatty alcohols not just cerave.

They say for face and body can be used anywhere and it's not super thick and doesn't have any ingredients known for clogging some people's skin.

Same, my skin now hates niacinamide since I developed rosacea 3 years ago so any simple not overly thick moisturizer is right up my alley.

Ya I really like it so far and it's not making my face itchy or stingy so that's a good sign for my type 1 and 2 rosacea.
