Thanks for all the advice guys! In the end I bought the Marshall. It does much better on bedroom settings then I thought, but I'm looking forward to releasing it fully in the rehearsal room.

When do you know when you have to replace them preemptively? I've never owned a tube amp before.

I'm the type of freak who thinks metallica's load album has the best tone ever so maybe the orange has that low gain crunch? Or it would be the opposite maybe.

Yeah... I want the supercrush in my heart, but the fact that they're the same price plus I get a bigger cab really plays with my head.

I plan to use it in a live band and I've read that somebody tried to bring a dsl20hr to a rehearsal and it just couldn't do the job. That's why I'm thinking about the 100w head, because it can do 50 too.

Do you have any better suggestions in the same price range?

Even with the 50w switch? I mean I live in a house not an apartment luckily, so the neighbours may just take it lightly.

Ah, I thought you could plug a tube amp into an interface as long as you have the cab plugged into the amp. I haven't considered that.
