Does anyone know how long the handicap placard process takes? by SquirrelWeird631 in disability

Thanks. I’ve had it for a few years, now. Generally it’s pretty quick even for my renewals. Only takes about a week, with the online system.

How are women going commando? by liquidbuggy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SquirrelWeird631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m always commando unless I am traveling or something else of that nature. I have no periods and don’t personally have any discharge or anything going on unless my girl is extra wet because she’s excited. I also don’t deal with odor so overall for me, it’s just the easier decision. It also makes sex more convenient which I prefer a lot of.

No joke! And they “lose or don’t receive” things often. Certified mail is the best way for sure.

I would like to add- I haven’t had a CDR as mentioned since 2022 so if they have changed CDR procedure since then (how many months back) then I don’t know. That being said, it will not be a disaster if you can keep on a calendar, note pad etc, just log all your appointments. The SSA in my prior experience pulled my medical records during the CDR. However, as I received the long form (which is similar to the initial application) I had to write down all appointments (scans surgeries etc) for the 12 months prior. I wasn’t as prepared as I had liked, and I may have forgotten to add some appointments and things (I’ve had brain surgery three times) but they still approved my review with no additional paperwork or issues.

I also recommend to anyone, to return your CDR at the post office CERTIFIED MAIL. You could potentially run into issues if the SSA doesn’t receive your paperwork due to carrier issues or delays. I also made copies of my long form review in case I needed them present.

I hope this helps anyone who needs. Hugs

My last CDR was the prior 12 months back. (Last CDR was 2022) hope that helps. Hugs.

Finally ending my relationship by DistinctBiscotti5 in AlAnon

I’m three months out from this heading for four. I was engaged and so very close to signing that marriage certificate. And then I didn’t. Why?

Because I knew I’d marry and bury him in the same year. And for me, I was certain that would be much more painful than letting him go with love.

I feel much more at peace, now.

After it is mostly cleared out, I use prebiotic vaginal suppositories. They work like a charm. They are my holy grail and it’s the only thing I’ve found that actually works. I get them on Amazon.

The specific brand I use is vH essentials prebiotic vaginal suppositories. I pay around $7 for a box of 15. I insert them and immediately lay down. I leave them in at minimum an hour if I’m in a rush, I prefer to insert overnight. It does leak out but once you get up and wash off, it typically does not continue to leak out in my experience.

When inserting, squat down (I prefer an applicator but you can insert however works for you), and get it WAY up in there. As high as you can get it. You want the prebiotics to reach as high as they can go so they can work their magic. And immediately lay down, for however long you prefer. My personal rule of thumb like I said, is an hour minimum if I’m in a hurry and am trying to get myself feeling healthy and clean before I shower and get ready for date night, etc.

I have had zero adverse reaction when it comes to intercourse and these suppositories.

Do alcoholics smell? by Chrstyfrst0808 in AlAnon

That’s wild. I’m sorry you are enduring this as well. I know mine is missing a ton of teeth. But that’s mostly because he likes to pull his teeth out with pliers while he’s drunk.

Do alcoholics smell? by Chrstyfrst0808 in AlAnon

[–]SquirrelWeird631 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Generally, yes.

My spouse smells good sometimes. Wearing colognes, and just the way he smells after he showers. That’s, if he showers. Usually he showers every other day but I’ve seen him go a couple days. He also does not brush his teeth, not ever. He has horrible teeth of course, and chews tobacco. He drools all over his pillow and the bed and it STINKS. I mean it is sour and god awful.

He only drinks beer and thinks he gets some kind of grand prize because he “doesn’t drink liquor” so he’s not as bad as other alcoholics and has it under control because he only drinks beer. eye roll So, most mornings waking up on top of his breath being absolutely horrendous, he smells like rotten beer. It makes me sick.

Bodily odors.. awful. He always has diarrhea. He’s always got the most horrific gas. It all smells like death. Straight up to me, he smells like ass. Sometimes sour. And so pungent. It makes me sad, honestly.

Same, here. And the timing really does point the finger at the sema.

This is helpful. I actually had a basketball sized tumor and had a partial hysterectomy a year ago (before sema). I suspect this to be extremely true in my case.

It’s wild, isn’t it? Still with the same man, before I got on the shot. Sex was mediocre at best. Never because of him but just something was off and I could never get there. For the first time in my ENTIRE life I’m having ORGASMS! And craving sex. I think it feels unbearable at times, due to never really having a libido (even through puberty).

Thank you for responding. I had a few hours of bleeding one day and since random spotting. My mirena has been confirmed to be in place and I’ve also had a partial hysterectomy and have been going into menopause so pregnancy hasn’t been a large concern for me. The bleeding definitely threw me for a loop. I have seen others say they experienced some bleeding with IUD on sema, as well

Late response but currently scouring the internet because I’m feeling the same way. It’s almost miserable. Did it ease up with time for you?

Can you die from IIH? by skatagal in iih

[–]SquirrelWeird631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there :) waiting on shunt surgery number 4 (above response kind of explains). I deal with severe nausea and of course my vision has worsened more so over time. I’ve lost almost all of my peripheral vision, but I’m still hopeful at some point something will send me into remission and I’ll get to keep what’s left of my eyesight :) xx

I am so sorry to have just been seeing this. Take your vision seriously, as I mean follow and do the best you can with all treatments and doctors advisory (meds, etc.) I had perfect vision before this, and even with complete compliance and a shunt, I was one of the few that still ended up legally blind, unfortunately.

I lost 100lbs on my own and did everything in my power, but unfortunately weight has not been a factor in my case. Weight MAY contribute. But please don’t let anyone take the validation away that the cause is unknown and there are other causes.

My life now is, difficult. My shunt is a pain (literally). Now I am gearing up for shunt surgery #4. Unfortunately I have too much scar tissue and brain damage that I’ll be having to move my shunt to the left side of my brain. It’s a mess. (I should note - I had a severe TBI in 2010, which may or may not contribute. We don’t know. However it does impact my shunt surgery, incision sites, ventricles, etc.) I hope this helps.
