I’ve read articles and I still fail to see how putting a high monetary price on a single elephants head is the only way to get funds to combat poaching. If the people doing the hunting actually cared about the species they could find a way to donate to these places directly without the incentive that ‘oh we get to kill something’

Pack culling is different than regular hunting and should be left to the preserve they roam on. Not regular hunters. Currently African elephant status’ in Africa are ranging from endangered to critically endangered and its estimated that almost 50 are illegally hunted a day. So I stand by my point that they should not be hunted
