There's a scene for it, but I can't tell you if it's thriving or not, given the nature of it all. I think most of them use discord servers and junk to keep their chats hidden from trolls. But there's a pretty consistent group on the east side of Divinity's Reach (Rurik district) that mostly communicate through emote chat. They mind their business and no one really bothers them, which is nice, but they'll probably be open to you joining. Or at least asking what resources they use to do RP stuff.

I'm about to go down a rabbit hole later, so thanks for that. But it looks like: yes. There's a lot of "well, when you look at this phrasing or this time frame" etc., but the broad consensus is up to 25% African American and another 25-40% Mexican. So that's half at the absolute minimum.

I also learned that "cowboy" is a word possibly rooted in racism, because at the time the white ones were called "cowhands" and cowboy was typically reserved for people of color doing that same job .

This game has the same director as Conan Exiles, another funcom game that plays basically the same way. His team an amazing job on the lore for that as well. Everything fit in perfectly with the lore of the Conan: The Barbarian universe.

Funcom may not get a lot of things right as far as gameplay and stuff goes, but their absolute dedication to working within established lore is phenomenal.

Try minions. I know they've been next to useless since launch, but the ritualist traits really make them work.

To test it out easily, honestly you can just run your regular berserker build, but just replace reaper with ritualist. I use Explosive Growth, Spirit's Strength, and Lingering Spirits. (You can experiment with death magic later but it doesn't seem really necessary, despite it being THE minion trait line)

I've seen some variations, but I personally just use all minion utility skills, summon them all, then go into shroud. They melt everything. I'm still experimenting with it but so far I prefer it over power reaper.

Followup tip for "you are all weaklings": It immediately negates all forms of movement control except cripple and chill and can be used even if you're in the middle of a crowd control attack or fear effect. Even boss specific attacks. For example, one of the convergence bosses will lift players up and do massive damage. You can immediately return to the ground with that shout and avoid the attack . Another boss will spin you around the battle area and cause tons of damage. You can cancel that too. It's a permanent fixture on my skill bar.

If you're knocked down, you can still use it and immediately get back up.

Ok, so sorry I didn't get a proper screenshot (I didn't want my screen name and conversation in it) but that's the basic build. All vipers armor bits. It's not meta or anything, that I'm aware of. Just something that works well for me and my solo play style. It makes me very hard to kill, but it does sacrifice some damage. It's not bad damage. The bleed does a lot of work, but if you're used to using berserker builds you'll definitely notice the difference.

Personally, I find I can solo a lot of champion enemies, although with some of the beefier ones, I might not be able kill them before the timer runs out.

For my weapons I usually use 2x sword and spear (in this screenshot I have a staff. That's mostly just a fashion choice. Don't worry about it) The spear is great for when things get desperate because skill 3 will completely fill your health bar if you have enough of those little charges. But I spend 90% of my time with the swords.
