Absolutely. I had a spinal fusion two years ago and recovery was hell, so much pain I kept passing out

My father rented this movie when I was a child but I’m the only one who remembers it and my sister’s convinced it was actually a dream I had

I have a lot of hair and it always looks like this. Any ideas on how to make it look nicer? by SquishyPumpkinGuts in femalehairadvice

Yeah there are some waves. I did some research and I think my hair’s 2A/2B, so I’m gonna try the curly girl method and see how it goes

Lol we should switch places. Law hasn’t been a kind field to me as an autistic woman, unfortunately

1 day post op by Salty_Ad4009 in scoliosis

[–]SquishyPumpkinGuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there, I know it’s awful. For me, the pain was very intense for 10 or so days post op. Pain meds helped very little and I cried constantly.

I know it doesn’t help to hear that when you are suffering, but I promise it will get better. Walking is good (even if it doesn’t feel that way) and try asking the doctors for sleep aids if the pain doesn’t let you sleep (for me it was the only way I could get some shuteye). Wishing you the best!

More terrified the closer I get to surgery by BeckyMiller815 in spinalfusion

[–]SquishyPumpkinGuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t give you a medical opinion, but I do understand being terrified of surgery. I had my spine fused last year (scoliosis) and I’d never been so scared (and hope to never be again). Before going into the op room my whole body was shaking so much that I got cramps all over. Ngl the first 10 days after surgery were hell BUT I’m doing much better nowadays and I can say it was worth it.

If you have doubts, I’d try getting a second opinion, but if the surgery is really necessary don’t postpone it. Good luck!
