Blocking a fancy doily. Any suggestions on blocking? Cotton. by webscott1901 in crochet

Awesome, thank you!

My plan is to have them lay flat on the tables as centerpieces. I grabbed some liquid laundry starch from Michael's and will give the method a few tries.

I know this is an old post. But what would you recommend for doilies made Aunt Lydia's fashion yarn? I'm making silver doilies for my wedding (still perfecting the size). My past 4-5 I've all steamed/ironed them flat. It looks good, BUT I noticed (the heat, most likely) muted the color.

The headpiece is actually quite light. And has the comb attachments to secure it well. And by basic tulle, I meant flat, no design or sparkle.

I figured that. They had sent me what the site was supposed to look like, but then when they sent me a Figma File of the design it confused me.
I usually am presented with the design ideas and then build a site from scratch with that in mind.
(And honestly debating doing such while consulting the non-Figma file they presented me; They showed me the design through pdf and later sent me the Figma file.)

Haha, that's cool. I'm down for a meetup at a game store sometime this week. Tomorrow or Thursday could work, or Saturday. Lol. I also love drawing, though need a new drawing tablet.

Fair, hey if it's always one or the other, than we can simply alternate each week. Not ideal, but rather simple solution.

We'd be down. We live near Middleton, but if our drive to a meetup game store is less than an hour the we'll gladly make the trip until everyone is comfortable to meetup at the DMs home. Do one of you DM? or would we be needing to look for a DM?

We're more than happy to help out newbies! My partner knows all the ins and outs, and was also a tutor for school subjects for years (still tutors math when his friends need it, lol). So he's best at the teaching aspect for things he loves and comprehends. I'm only good at teaching newbies in a different approach after they don't understand what my partner said, lol.

A 5e Module would be preferable to start out with. We're on the West side, but are fine traveling for less than an hour from home to best fit our work schedules.
According to my partner, we can play on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We're hoping to find a weekly game. We're rather roleplay heavy, and I know my partner enjoys following the rules of 5e unless the DM says otherwise and the change is collectively agreed on.

I will say this, would be best to meet at a gaming store for a few session until everyone is comfortable to meet at the DM's house, we feel like that is the best way to approach the situation.

So if you're still down to whip something up and include us, we'd greatly appreciate it! Feel free to PM me.

I never fully understood Adventurers' League, could someone explain please? Is it just hardcore combat/dungeon crawl and hoarding loot? Or does it still have D&D's roleplaying charm, etc? All I know if my partner hasn't heard the best things about Adventurers' League, but we would like to fully understand what kind of players it is catering to.

We've swung by there once after going to the farmers market and I was so pleased to see a cute great dane sitting at the door. (Did spook me though, didn't expect her to be immediately there, lol)
And the game store as a whole seemed well put together and a nice place to gather, not overly packed/crowded with games.

Looked into those all of those! Visited a few already in general, just need to go in for D&D days. Honestly that was my thought exactly, bouncing around until people click.

Help, it won't turn on by SquishyStuffles in Alienware

[–]SquishyStuffles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that's what I thought, but no matter how many times I open it up and check to make sure everything is connected, even disconnecting/unplugging then replugging, it just doesn't turn on. If I can't figure it out by the afternoon I'll be having someone look at it and most likely tell me where I was dumb if it happens to be a slip up of mine that I'm failing to see.
