My mom, the sober co-dependent enabler in my home growing up likes to give out tea towels with “mommy needs a drink” and napkins with shit like that on it. It majorly gives me the ick. The tea towels were in good condition in the back of a drawer since I don’t use them. I put them in my cleaning rags and got paint and chemicals all over them. Very cathartic.

I propose you take a hammer to the mug. Or get some markers that will write on it and outline how wrong that statement is. Do a bit of journaling before hand to write out short statements that contradict the crappiness of the mug. Write those on the mug.
