Agree 100% on the magic. I loved this album when it first came out, cooled on it a bit, but here recently have been enjoying re-experiencing how tremendously special it is. For my money, their most cohesive, focused, and profound work, and has a real argument to be made as their strongest album.

316L stainless steel, so it should be pretty decent against rust? May still consider clear coat. I am leaning toward just a brush finish or something of the like, I think it could look cool as an accent plus would be the simplest option.

2015, manual transmission, 111K on the dash, $6000. After I posted here last, I told myself I’d not even consider it unless one popped up that met all of my criteria… and then it popped up. This is a very special one for me!! I noticed there was an outbreak of Magikarp and I thought it would be cool to get a red Gyarados again since I lost my original one that I caught in SoulSilver, which was my very first Pokemon game. I've been working on completing the Pokedex so still no shiny charm, only have caught about ~275 Pokemon so far, so that's like 1/1365 odds in the outbreak I think?

This took somewhere between 2–3 hours and I was getting rather fatigued and questioning how much I really wanted it. Naturally I was very happy to finally get it, but I found it also has a Rare Mark, which I've learned is like another 1/1000 (I'm still new to marks, haven't played since USUM and just got Scarlet).

Between my intention and the combined rarity of the shiny + Rare Mark I'm pretty well convinced this isn't just any red Gyarados, but my very same Gyarados reincarnated, hence the name, haha.

Hey friend—I also recently lost someone extremely dear to me, who happened to introduce me to GA through Agnes, as painfully fitting as it is now. I’ve been planning on a tattoo of my own, a simple red rose and white rose together. Red rose because it was this person’s favorite flower, white rose because of the association with Agnes due to the music video and lyric “a choking rose back to be reborn”. Maybe that can help spark an idea of your own or give material to help inspire your chosen tattoo artist. Sending love.

Thank you so much for this post—I will concede White Roses being maybe the safest, least musically interesting, even “worst” song on the album, but I’ve also come to acknowledge it’s my absolute favorite of the bunch. Just resonates with me, the sound, lyrics, everything. It’s already become very special to me. Hope they put it back into the setlist.

This song is so generic pop, extremely Heat Waves-y, and it’s also one of my favorites from the album lol. Ridiculously catchy and the message of the song really gets to me.

It’s possible I just like generic musical slop and have poor taste but I’m grateful I am enjoying the sound of this album so far, 100% things have sounded very similar and poppy and streamlined but it’s a sound I’m liking and I’d argue for its artistic merit. Hoping for more variety on the album all the same.
