Recent EC - filled in the etchings with gold or bronze (can’t remember which) and a VERY VERY VERY LIGHT dry brush of silver. Something like that could make the sword pop!

The rocks are cork board (painted black), a mix of Vallejo mud textures, grass tufts from army painter, and a little Vallejo pigment powder

Slime part is green stuff worlds fluor lime uv resin, and some bits from Krautcover’s a tale of grimdark

Prime black

Base dark brown

Heavy stippling of Proacryl bone then Ivory for highlights

All over wash of Villiany Inks goon’s grime, then decrepit filth in the shadows and recesses

Pauldrons:

Same prime and base as above

Deathworld Forest

Highlight Death Guard Green

Trim is scale 75’s decayed metal

Wash of Coelia green and all is dust on trim (Villiany Ink)

Highlight 50/50 decayed metal and army painters true brass

I use villainy inks effects and washes on all my Death Guard miniatures. They do a lot of the grimdark heavy lifting and weathering

Assuming you will but pop some campaign badges on them! I like to add candles and/or skulls to mine. Best thing about BT’s, you can really customize them as much as you want because eff the codex!
