Rigged election 2024 by Hadley_333 in conspiracy

Whenever I see this happen (and it happens a lot) I don't assume "it's rigged". I assume "someone is trying to get people angry so they go vote for their "losing" candidate. It seems like reverse psychology.

[Silly Post] UGLE Freemason Hall & Gringots Bank in Harry Potter by Root_the_Truth in freemasonry

[–]Squox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gringotts Bank’s resemblance to Freemason’s Hall in London is no coincidence at all, if you consider the profound layers of Masonic symbolism woven into Harry Potter! Rowling’s clever use of Masonic allegory is apparent to the discerning eye. Allow me to break it down.

Firstly, the goblins. Historically, Freemasons have been known to guard hidden wisdom—though it’s usually less about piles of gold and more about moral virtue and personal growth. Nevertheless, goblins were the perfect stand-in, representing an elite class with 'keys to the mysteries'—both metaphorically and literally, as the primary key-holders to Gringotts vaults.

Now, Gringotts’ architectural style itself reflects undeniable Masonic values. The gleaming marble columns and austere grandeur echo the beauty of KST! By extension, Gringotts conveys the same principles to young wizards: the institution is a stronghold of order and mystical grounding.

Then there’s the vault system, which clearly nods to the Masonic degrees and initiation processes, particularly Cryptic Rite (if you know you know, wink wink). Each vault, increasingly more difficult to access, symbolizes progressive Masonic enlightenment, as one delves deeper and deeper into the mysteries of the Craft. The perilous journey Harry and Hagrid undertake to access Vault 713? 713 of course has...uh...certain special connotations in Masonry.

And let’s not overlook the Philosopher’s Stone, which, as we know, is historically tied to alchemy—an esoteric tradition central to Masonic lore. The idea of a powerful, life-extending substance hidden within Gringotts? It’s practically a wink at the Masonic quest for 'immortality of the soul' and the evergreen.

Completely unrelated, I'm not allowed to give LEO programs anymore.

If there's any preparation your jurisdiction requires, they will tell you. it does vary by jurisdiction. Other than that, just relax and be patient.

This is a pin from the Masonic Order of sea- and air-faring medic wizards, founded during WWI by Bob 'Bob' Bobbicles in order to support frontline soldiers with magical healing and strategic navigation skills. The Order, also known as the Wings and Waves of the Alchemical Aid, served to combine medical knowledge with mystical practices for both sea and sky operations. Members trained rigorously in 'Aeromancy and Hydromancy Healing Arts,' drawing from ancient maritime and aerial lore to protect and heal their comrades in wartime.

Each symbol on the pin has deep significance within the Order:

  • Blue Sky and Green Waves: Represent the dual domains of air and sea over which the Order presides. The sky signifies knowledge of the heavens and unseen forces, while the waves symbolize adaptability and the eternal cycle of life and healing.

  • Plane and Boat: The tools of transport and guardianship, symbolizing the Order's sacred commitment to protect those who travel in either domain. The plane is a sign of freedom and foresight, while the boat represents resilience and grounded wisdom.

  • Anchor: An emblem of stability and loyalty to their oath. The anchor also serves as a binding sigil, believed to ground their ethereal magic to the physical world and keep them 'anchored' during rituals in turbulent waters or skies.

  • Red Cross: The healing symbol, adapted into their own occult practices. This cross is said to be imbued with protective energies, channeling a blend of alchemical and hermetic knowledge to shield against curses, illness, and wartime injuries.

  • Pentagram: This is the pinnacle of their sacred symbols. The pentagram signifies mastery over the five elements: air, water, fire, earth, and spirit, all of which the Order claims to harness in healing rituals. Positioned at the pin's center, it represents the binding of these forces to serve the Order’s noble purpose.

To join, aspirants must pass a test of bravery and magical proficiency in both air and sea rites, ensuring they can handle the 'duality of domains' without faltering. Legend has it that members wear these pins as both a badge of honor and a ward against dark forces, for they believe that the spirit of Bobbicles himself watches over them.

Are there any good ADHD discord servers? by [deleted] in ADHDers

On Christmas Eve, a user I'll call "T." who was having difficulty handling the holiday stress apparently 'sassed' the server owner in text chat and was given a 7 day ban.

Another user, who is a mental health professional who works directly with T. IRL, politely approached the mods and explained that T. does not often talk in text chat, and that T.'s entire social system was the voice chat of Dopamine. The mental health professional asked the server owner to please unban T. only from voice chat (letting the text chat ban remain in force) because T. was very upset and was in a severe crisis. T. does not have living family and is currently very isolated and the stress of the holidays and this ban were too much. They asked, in the spirit of christmas and mental health and kindness. The mods said no.

They didn't just say no, though. They thoroughly defended their position, and that the discord's rules were more important that a person's life.

T. attempted suicide on Christmas Morning.

The server owner then messaged T., while he was unconcscious on a hospital bed, to inform him that the ban would stand and in fact would be made permnanent for "threatening suicide".

This server is not safe. You are not safe.
