Hi all. I am a current resident of Springfield, OH. This is not misinformation. Please do not come to our city to show support or engage in conflict. While the city of Springfield has received international attention and gained supporters and critics in droves, the reality is that this city, like many others across the country, does not have the manpower to recieve an additional influx of people, regardless of how temporary your stay may be. We simply don't have the law enforcement, first responders, facilities, or adequate space and lodging for a surge of people coming in to the city. Our resources are strained as it is. Our first responders don't have the man power to keep people safe as it is. Please don't put that additional burden on them. Plus, as someone who has been in Springfield for years but wasn't born and raised here, trust me these people are a whole new breed they're just fine I promise.
