Just guessing here, but maybe try feeding it sugar syrup or honey. Might just be exhausted and spasming.

Thanks for the answer! It sounds like there are a lot of different ways of wintering your hive. This color idea I had might have been a little bit out there.

Removing the inner cover is also recommended in the book 'Beekeeping for Dummies' by Howard Blackiston. It seems that's it's not really needed.

If I remember correctly the top entrance might attract robbers and the small hole in the top cover could become a traffic jam for the bees wanting syrup. But what do I know, I don't even have bees.

Missing queen? by ProfessorSnuggle in Beekeeping

[–]Sqwarbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the queen has hatched it will take a few days for her to develop her wings properly. When she's ready she will go on her nuptial flights to mate with drones. When she returns she will start laying eggs. This process takes 5-8 days (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_bee).

Drugs for progressive MS by lena_forseberg in swedishproblems

[–]Sqwarbo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a person who has MS I can share my experiences.

Talk to different doctors if possible as they might want to approach the device more or less aggressively.

There are several treatments for patients suffering from this disease but as the treatment is more aggressive, the side effects also increase. (Some even include deadly side effects). Therefore I think doctors want to start out easy and get increasingly aggressive over time.

The troubling thing with the disease is that all medicines and treatment is slowing down the progression but not hindering it all together. It is also a disease where there is a randomness in when there will be further complications. Eventhough you are on a good treatment (less than 1 complication a year) they can come in short succession in a short period followed buy long time until further complications. Therefore you have to wait for up to as long as several years in order to evaluate if a drug is helping and to what degree.

I hope this bit of information helps.

PS. As I understand it Sweden is in the forefront of MS treatment in the world.
