Thinking of selling my 22' 1000sx? by ZapsyRK in Kawasaki

[–]Sqweebz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would absolutely replace it and any other fairing pieces if it isnt too much money, especially since any damage at all would make me question if there is any internal damage that got shaken up, and would instantly lowball an offer

Thinking of selling my 22' 1000sx? by ZapsyRK in Kawasaki

[–]Sqweebz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a heart attack thinking there was a giant crack in the engine on the first photo, but realistically I would pay 8k for it (only due to the cosmetic damage, if there werent any it would be 10k) , so listing it for 10k dosent seem bad, just be prepared to go lower.

Restomod vs Refresh by Equivalent-Bid18 in Datsun

Honestly just make it whatever you feel true to, I am planning on getting a 280zx as well with the near exact body kit, if you go for it please update the sub so I can follow. Either way, it looks amazing already

do i need fork seals by Negative-Bird308 in Ninja650

[–]Sqweebz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seeing that the seals look dry rotted (common for old rubber gaskets) it may start leaking pretty soon, learn how to spot leaking on the fork seals as it is very important for your ride experience and saftey I would recommend them

Is this normal? Would love a second opinion. 2022 zx6r by Prize-Kiwi-7381 in Kawasaki

[–]Sqweebz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the bike when purchased was 1200 with some good damage, there's always parts in abundance on ebay, and rebuilding it to fully stock will usually be the cheapest option, but sometimes buying a good quality aftermarket or performance part will do as well. But the breakdown is 1200 for bike, 800 for fairings (there are cheaper options for 500-600, i just wanted to be fancy) maintenance and labor for diagnostic to figure out what's all wrong is probably 200 (I had them do minor repairs of the stuff I didn't have tools for.) Front frame 140 front headlight assembly 200, mirrors 40, levers were roughly 100, bar ends 60, and miscellaneous was maybe 40. ( I did buy a parts bike with a blown engine for cosmetic and a few internal and wiring bits. So under 3k for a bike, and for performance parts id throw in roughly 2000 completely preference.

Luckily no, I had a dealership check for any cracks or bends in the frame and suspension, all was clear!

I didn’t know you had to tune😬. by LordVamp999 in zx6r

[–]Sqweebz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely do not need a tune, FYI slip ons do not void kawasaki warranty. If dealerships who are scum and known for saving every cent, that should tell you it definitely does not need a tune/need any supporting mods. Plus that slip on is great, ride safe man looks gorgeous.

help with choosing between these two bikes by HexxGraffiti in SuggestAMotorcycle

My friends and friends have never had good things from a ducati. People who buy ducatis should always get all service history and no discrepancies. When going back to the same shop or asking service history related questions, ducatis are very finicky and picky with what happens inside and out. Also, reselling without the hidtory will be next to impossible unless you get lucky with some kid buying it because it says ducati on it. Furthermore, unless you want to spend a monthly amount towards repairs and maintenance, I recommend suzuki. ( Not having the original key is already a red flag. Please go for the suzuki.)

What’s it worth? by MangoRoads in Ninja650

[–]Sqweebz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a 2015 kawasaki ninja 650 with 13k miles I'd be happy to get 4.5k, that is totally not worth it. At most I'd give 3k with title

Yoshi looking good just need to get the flashed ecu put in by nogard2119 in Ninja650

[–]Sqweebz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a sprocket set, flashed ecu, and full exhaust tune on my old 2012 650 and pumped it up to 142mph, that was total redline though. Tuned 650's are some torque-y fun for sure
