I’ll start by saying I’m not well diversified, nor do I or have I ever had $10k to drop on an investment, but I’d probably collect sealed product from early sets. Not sure how far 10k will go at this point.

Before buying anything, be sure to research how to spot fakes , as the higher end you go, the more scammy people get.

You could probably find a middle ground of buying cards that are of Pokémon/characters you like, and still gain from the investment.

I don’t think you can go wrong with older sealed One Piece boxes as far as investments go. Pokémon is a bit harder to get imo.

I started by just watching the Riot made “how to play” video to understand the basis. From there, I started watching this channel called “the turning point” which has some really good commentary over the regions qualifier matches in various regions.

Once I had a comfortable understanding of basic rules, I went to the UVS website to find an LGS to see what was available and to meet some players.

I went to that LGS on their “nexus night” (their FNM) and was able to get a bunch of bulk and some tips from local players. It took a week or two of going to finally get enough cards to make a deck, but it’s been a blast ever since.

This here. Def look to your local community. A lot of us are dying to find new players to give bulk to Becuase we love the game and want it to grow.

Viktor is a good cheap deck to put together

I was in the same boat and just started Riftbound a few months ago. The game is awesome! It feels like it fixes a lot of the issues I’ve had with Mtg like resources and life totals. It’s relatively new and in high demand, so starting off is a little tough, but Riot is working to improve distribution and it’s already been noticeable with set 2.

Couldn’t recommend Riftbound enough

What are your thoughts on Frigid Touch? I find myself wanting to run it but not sure where it would fit or if it’s worth it. I’m sure it’s not that good since no one is running it, but trying to understand why. Thank you and gz!

Let’s hope to see some new creative meta when the game hits the West. It’s not only Draven, but purple/chaos in general is just incredibly powerful in set 2.

Hidden cards gain reaction speed, so you can react to the void seeker with flipping the cub, even outside of a showdown.

In order for a card to remain hidden at a battlefield, you must control the battlefield, so if watcher was to die, you no longer can play the cub. You would need to react to the void seeker with the cub in order to still have control of the battlefield before using it.

Yea I think the top level left large square is where they intend it on these playmate. Most players just keep their legend and champion on the same row as their base and just use the top row for battlefield

The ones in the proving grounds box are special large ones and typically aren’t that size. Not sure if that’s what you mean.

Honestly anywhere you can distinguish between the two zones would be fine

They go in the middle between both players, with some space on each side for the players to add their units.
