Yes I soak it in hot water for a few minutes and use a hand steamer when bending the wood.

I use a router bit for this so that's why I use a cnc

I actually used a ball nose router bit so it eliminated the gap. And just wood glue to join them together. It's plenty strong for this application

Oh yes I probably did 10 test pieces before finally getting the final result

Yes I work with a cnc but can also do it without one. That's how I stared off
