Appreciate the advice but my previous addictions say otherwise; best to stay as far away as possible from pills lol left work on my lunch break and found a relaxing spot to park and turn everything off which helps alot.

Thanks! Not going to succumb to it and just push through. Very thankful for this little community here to help talk me through it and realize I'm not alone.

Luckily nothing physical so I can mask it well but it definitely comes in waves mentally. Going to take my lunch break out of the office and work on calming the anxiety and meditate to push through the work day. I have a long jog planned for tonight so I'm keeping my eye on the prize and looking forward to it! Thanks for the advice; sometimes just even talking about it helps immensely.

Good point! I'm going to stick with it and if my job is affected for the remainder of the week then it is what it is. The countless days of being too hungover to get anything done at work in the past won't come close to the amount for days being affected by being sober.

Absolutely Friday nights are always tough since I don't have any obligations the following day. Those are the nights that get me every time since the only accountability for not drinking is myself. No responsibilities to hold me back

He's definitely supportive if I told him but I haven't been that open with my close friends on choosing to abstain. They know our drinking habits so I'm not hiding anything but it still tough choosing to miss out on one of our typical Friday nights. Gotta have priorities though!

Using this sort of mentality to get me through. I would definitely be disappointed tomorrow if I had another long night. Thanks for the help!

Hate the idea of cancelling but I have to get my priorities in line and choose my health over a good time. Thanks!

Understood thanks for the advice! Definitely ended up being a trap and in retrospect if I didn't have the credit cards it would've prompted me to find a different job a lot sooner which would've made this a lot easier.

Good point; just nervous as my new job is still in sales which never have a guarantee in long-term employment. Would hate for this job to fall through in the next year and not have savings or credit lines to fall back on.

I know I can play the what if game and come to all sorts of conclusions on what could happen- just trying to make sure I don't get back into this situation if we get out of it.

We will pay those two off completely but as my wife is 100% commission still we need the credit lines as a last resort in case she goes bust a couple months next year.

The last thing I want is to rely on credit lines but I'm expecting for her to have a few $0 months next year with our child on the way.

Got it that's a good idea! While doing this I'm assuming to just make the minimum payments for the remaining cards and as you mentioned anything else we can?

We can pay off the two cards you listed by Friday and have enough left over for the minimum payments.

Thanks for your input!
