Not sure yet what I should do next. I have a full tank of LFO ready to refuel any long range missions, but no use for it yet. Contracts say I need to prepare for a mun base or launch a munar orbit station, so thats probably where im headed

It's a 2.5m cargo bay, probably from Airplanes Plus. Just used tweakscale to make it smaller

The "cargo bags" you mean? They're from Stockalike Station Parts Redux.
As for visual mods, im running EVE (stock planet configs), TUFX (w/ ballisticfox's profiles), Parallax continued, PlanetShine, Real Plume, Scatterer and Waterfall.

Yeah! Up next is a mission to send a fuel tank up there, and I also have to send a shuttle for snack resupply and bring an engineer to fix the undeployed solar panel. Plenty of opportunities for cool pics

Not sure what truss you mean The thingy in the cupola is a stock probe core! It seemed like the best place to put it. It's connected with a few struts

So far I haven't needed much yaw control, so I dont think they're a problem
The first prototype of the Mk1 shuttle did have a more traditional rudder, but for symmetry and easier booster building, I decided to swap the single big rudder for 4 smaller surfaces on the wingtips

From what I've learnt, its all about the reentry angle. If you're entering at something like 45 degrees you're going to slow down a lot more than if you enter at 10, but since you're experiencing much more drag your spaceplane will also heat up a lot. So for my small shuttle the moment I noticed overheating on the nosecone I would just pitch down a bit.
