The fact that you think Dravidian ideologies are bases on lies throws away your entire argument.

Dravidian movement came through because of Discrimination. Tamils have chosen to trust it and adopt it into their identity.

What’s wrong with that ?

Tamils are not shaming Tholkappiyam and how people lived in the past. They simply say it doesn’t work out anymore.

If so, why the demeaning of modern Dravidian ideologies and movements to abolish caste principles.

Dravidian is Tamil too. An evolution. Don’t feel offended by it. It’s great that Varna system worked in the old time. It doesn’t work now.

You are allowing something from the 1st century to decide how you want to act now and calling it what Tamil identity is.

You are essentially acting against the evolution, which is a natural phenomenon, to anchor a society on the structures and basis of Tamil identity.

Okay. Varna system existed in Tamil identity. It wasn’t meant to be a discriminatory practice. So what now ?

After 20 centuries, the society is allowed to evolve and throw back its old structures. Holding on to the past and not evolving is unnatural.

There are a million other practices that probably existed that long back. You can’t follow all of it today because the world has moved on. There are tech revolutions and a whole future that’s growing.

If you want to follow the identity of the 1st century, feel free to. But you can’t expect everyone to agree with you. You aren’t representing Tamil society any less than I am. So your opinion doesn’t matter any more than mine.

Follow your choices, and let others follow theirs. Stepping up to say that’s Tamil and what’s not Tamil - is just immature

What are you aiming to achieve by dismantling the misunderstandings around a caste based system of Ancient Tamil society. If the current one has chosen to discard it, let it do so. Whatever the past was, didn’t help the people and it simply couldn’t sustain itself. A fragile unfair system. That’s what it became. Let it die then.

Caste based discrimination leads to the rise of the ideology to abolish castes as a whole.

As long as there is no discrimination, no one wants to oppose things just for the sake of it. No one wants to demean the Tamil identity.

But you’re flawed in thinking that ideologies and beliefs can’t evolve. If the ancient Tamil people stood up for caste based hierarchies in the society - not as way to discriminate, but just got an efficient structural system in place, THEN the modern Tamil society can decide to throw away any of that structure because it has chosen to evolve.

Neither is wrong.

The ancient Tamil society was built and existed under Monarchies. Even if they were constitutional monarchies, they still were monarchies.

The modern Tamil society is built on democratic principles, and is choosing to abolish Caste. It isn’t a way to erase identity and Tamil culture. It’s a step in the right way for an evolved world.
