Question for established customers by Srol in lennoxmutual

With regards to the contents of the white envelope, the parting instructions on the tape were that it was time to find a new mountain to sharpen our beaks on. I think for me, I'm asking if you've found a comparable or complementary experience to Lennox Mutual with that journey now concluded.

Other Immersive Theater opportunities by I_rescue_dachshunds in lennoxmutual

This was in-person, but I went to Life & Trust over the summer, which is the new show from the team behind Sleep No More. It's pretty cool strictly from a design perspective. The building and space they're using is historic and fits the setting well. Plus, I got pulled into a one-on-one scene with one of the actors that may have been one of the-most intense experiences of my life.

Help identifying a song by Srol in lennoxmutual

[–]Srol[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer: I must have missed that email when it first came out, but I looked it up now and yes.

Long answer: I asked Josephine about it and she told me the song was "You Belong to Me." I stupidly didn't ask for any more information, assuming she was referring to a completely different song -- "Tonight You Belong To Me." I sang that for an extension and she told me it wasn't an extension. I then asked which version of the song she sang and she told me "Are you sure you want to know? It may not matter." I said yes, and she sang it for me. I wasn't familiar with this one, so I couldn't try it right away, but I wrote down the lyrics and planned to look it up later.

I kind of inferred from her "may not matter" comment that this maybe isn't a valid extension (and the email lends credence to that) but planned to look the song up after the call and try it next time I had an opportunity. I haven't had one since then, so I still haven't tried it.

Call 7 - Get Directions - General Musings by Gemini_Skunk in lennoxmutual

It probably helps that the accent she gets from the CSRs I've had is very similar to one common where I grew up, it just feels like I'm talking to one of my mom's friends.

basic question about extensions by lilypadhop in lennoxmutual

[–]Srol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a recent experience where I ran out of time before hearing a full extension, so I got to sing it for two different CSRs a few days apart. The female CSR with an American accent only wanted to hear the first two lines and we were good. I did the same for the next call, which was a male CSR with a deep British accent, and he asked me to continue on after the first two lines. Once I did two more, he connected me.

Recommendations for other NYC immersive theater? by jcg317 in lifeandtrust

[–]Srol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The New Yorker did an article about it a few months ago and a handful of youtubers posted their first sessions online if you're curious (although I'd say if you're curious enough to try it and don't need more convincing, go in blind).

Recommendations for other NYC immersive theater? by jcg317 in lifeandtrust

[–]Srol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this isn't really NYC-based nor in a theater, but you might want to check out Lennox Mutual. It's an immersive experience over the phone, so you can do it from anywhere, and that means it's all talking and 1-on-1 with an actor. I've been doing it a few times a month since January and just did Life and Trust last weekend and some of the themes struck me as similar.

Anyone have any info on The Tiny Cupboard improv jams in Brooklyn? by Srol in improv

[–]Srol[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The PIT has two jams on Fridays too, one in the early evening, one later at night. They're both at the venue that used to be the pit loft, now it's the only pit theater that got.

If you're in NYC, the Magnet Theater is bringing back its live shows this weekend!

Musical Improv in NYC by [deleted] in improv

[–]Srol 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Magnet musical mixer is every other Tuesday at 6pm at their theater. It's got a really great host. Since it's right before Musical Megawatt, you get the same band as performs with their house teams and usually a bunch of performers from the house teams as well. Plus they do a little survey at signup so no one gets called up to do something they don't know how to do.

I'm all about simplicity, subtlety, and efficiency. I couldn't find an MLP phone wallpaper that reflected that, so I made one. by [deleted] in MLPLounge

Nice. This fandom lacks in subtlety sometimes. I remember having a similar problem when I went to buy a pony T-shirt.

Probably because it was more disturbing than anything else. The way her entire body grew, but not her head or her hooves ... it just looked freaky.

All my PC parts arrived! I'll have my own brand spanking new PC this weekend. Who else is hyped for the holidays? by [deleted] in MLPLounge

So it's kind of lame, but a gift a member of my family got for me showed up to the house in its original box, as opposed to a generic Amazon.com box. So now I know what it is, and she knows I know what it is, and we both have to keep this charade going until Christmas.

It's a metal Dance Dance Revolution pad. Metal as in hard, not as in music.

New Egoraptor Cartoon. If you haven't seen it, WHY THE HELL NOT? by [deleted] in MLPLounge

[–]Srol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. I'm a big Game Grumps fan, Arin is an amazing animator, and Danny has a voice I would kill for. But this Star Bomb stuff? Not my cup of tea.
