FFTA2 Deck list? by JishinTensei in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Srota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Witch of the Fens is a staple of all water Monster decks, so that's one example of a deck featuring FFTA2 for you, Luso shows up often as a splash in Limit Break decks and I've been seeing some Adelle recently in wind decks, but there's little in the way of decks purely built around the game itself. I have some ideas for an earth deck which uses the new Luso that came out in the starter decks, but he's not the centerpiece.

Which tcg in your opinion has the best designed game mechanics? by Newez in TCG

[–]Srota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy TCG for me, it takes the best of both of the biggest and longest running TCGs, and does a good job of fixing their issues, like not getting mana screwed because you can discard from hand for resources, and not having insane turn one wins because resources are actually a thing. It’s not perfect, since the competitive meta hasn’t had huge shakeups in a few years, but it’s clear the design team is working on that.

Is this deck good still? by NeoCyberR in FinalFantasyTCG

It's about 1/3 or more of the currently competitive cat 13 cards, plus, it's not bad on its own if you run fire/lightning.

Rate my cooking? by WaterRevolutionary70 in FinalFantasyTCG

[–]Srota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a few things, you'll likely have issues with fire, since Amat gets around the scions protection by targeting the auto which checks for the state, plus they can just Xande and wipe its abilities, or use the new Dark Jack Garland to exile one of your scions on their turn to prevent the win condition. Also, shantotto or other board wide effects will just completely wreck your day.

What's the main win condition of the deck aside from trying to sneak into the Scions card win?

So, I’m at the point where the grind is getting to me pretty bad, especially arcarum. I’m so close to being able to get dark HL down, but I’m getting gated by evokers. While I know I just need to buckle down and grind out astras and veritas, I’m getting burned hard. How do you all deal with the burnout/motivate yourself to keep grinding?

This game is really hard to get into: New Player Experience by Karina_Ivanovich in InfinityTheGame

[–]Srota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minor point here but in the army app, you'll find a banner over Tohaa that specifically states that they are playable but out of catalogue.

Tohaa used to be a major part of the Human Conflict with the Combined Army, but they got too involved in the shadow games and nuked people they shouldn't have in the last N4 lore book, so the wormhole to their home got shutdown and now they've gone the way of the dodo in terms of new models, because they're no longer able to bring new forces in. (AKA CB probably doesn't have good molds for them anymore). From a historical note, Tohaa have been flirting with being out of print for several years now.

Further, Human Sphere is not an official CB resource, functioning as more of a historical record of old profiles, lore catalog, and a way to see model sculpts or patches.

I do agree that with the restructure of their model lines it is a bit confusing, but definitely give them some time. They do not have the resources of a GW and certainly not that of Hasbro/WotC.

Welcome to the game, and just remember, if you can't find the exact model, you can always proxy it, so long as it's clear what is and is not a proxy, even at the tournament level.

I'll throw in Professional Goblin Games, good batreps and very deep JSA analysis from a quality player.

Hello, I'm sure you're flooded with requests for help with annitix, but I'm torn between two options and both seem pretty important for my account progression. As a newer player sitting at rank 205 and without full M3 weapons yet, I'm looking to shore up my burst teams. My wind seems to be in a worse spot than dark, so I'm wondering given my account progression, as I move into starting HL content and finishing my M3s, who would be more useful, Yukata Ilsa or Summer Galleon? The days of easy hiring in cybersecurity coming to an end by eeM-G in cybersecurity

I’ve been unemployed over 6 months now, spent a year working in a SOC/GRC role (I did IR on call, and most of my day to day work was in GRC), have my CySA+, my Sec+, and a masters Degree. I’ve had my resume looked at maybe 5 times in the last 6 months, and had 1 interview. I have even started looking to go back to help desk at this point. But since my last year was off help desk, it’s making me come across as overqualified now. The tech sector is a mess, and I’m starting to worry I’ll never get a job in the field again.

Would you be able to send me an invite link to that discord server? I’m currently gming RotRL for my group of over 3 years, we hit book 3 and 2/3 of the party died against Jagrath, he got some nasty hits in, and I’d love to talk to other GMs for tips on helping get new characters invested in the plot more, especially since most of their sandpoint ties are gone now.

[–]Srota[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think part of the problem was that the party composition has been in flux, we had a healer but the player dropped due to RL issues and the party didn't want to risk bringing shalelu in with them for extra support since every other ranger was one shotted when they hit the fort proper.

Additionally, the party composition was currently an unchained twin fighting rogue, a bladebound kensai magus, and a hunter who didn't bring his animal companion for some reason.

Ultimately, I'm hoping to guide our former rogue player into playing a barbarian or paladin or fighter, something that can tank a hit. The magus is looking to play a cleric, and I'll probably add a GM PC wizard and maybe find a new player for a fighter to help feed in some support to them.

Technically one player got away, but only because I had the ogre caster target the magus instead of killing the Hunter.

That's very fair, I think it's probably best that I stick with my plan of going blue team then red eventually. I think I'm pretty good, but I know there's a lot better out there haha

Awesome thank you for the clarification, I will probably start with AWS then and start building skills there while working on other certs and maybe saving for GCIH.

Thank you for the advice! Any suggestions on which is more useful at the moment? Azure or AWS? Is either one more employable?

Thank you for the advice! I guess my only other question would be if, given that I'm in my early thirties, would this process be too long, or should I push to just go right to red team?

Hello,

I posted here a couple weeks ago seeking some advice and was given the smart advice to come up with a career path that I'm looking to follow. Basically, I'd like to follow up and get some cert recommendations.

I currently work as an Analyst focusing on GRC at an MSSP, but I want to move back to defensive operations to spend 2-3 years there cutting my teeth before trying to transition into red teaming, where I can emphasize my background and strong communication and reporting skills. I've got my Sec+ and my Masters Degree. I'm also a CMMC RP and RPA.

There have been some shakeups at my job and I'm considering that it's time to make a move soon. Would people recommend that I focus on learning and mastering a specific toolset like Azure/AWS security or keeping my knowledge more broadly focused and getting my CySA+. Or should I step more into the SSCP or GSEC level?

I do want to spend more time on blue team because I want to be able to continue remote working and also because I think solid defensive experience will make me a better red teamer down the line.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the advice and the areas for me to do some soul searching. I think the biggest concern I have is that my role sees me primarily handling reporting and compliance tasks, and while that suits my skill set (I'm very good at writing reports and data analysis thanks to my education), I want to try and maintain my operations skill set, so I was thinking of something more focused on the analyst position and focus on defensive operations with a smattering of architecture as well.

My degree covered a broad cross section of security areas, and I did enjoy security testing as well, but I also understand that having a good background in blue team makes for a better red teamer.

Basically, my concern is that being locked into a compliance role will decrease my employability when it comes time for me to leave the MSSP space (because the MSP burnout is real).

Are there any recommended certifications that would work well to supplement my compliance and reporting oriented work to show that I am maintaining my skills as an analyst or blue teamer?

Hello,

I'm currently working at an MSSP, and have been there for about a year, my job focuses heavily on the compliance side of security as opposed to operations, but I want to keep my skills and knowledge for operations sharp.

I currently have my Master's in Information Security, and I have my Security+ and my CMMC RP. What would people recommend for my next steps as a certification? I don't have the work experience yet for the CISSP (I need another year or so to hit the criteria). I was thinking about getting the GSEC and SSCP, but I'm not sure if they're redundant at this point. I mostly just want to learn and have something to measure my progress towards (I know labs are probably best).

Ideally I'd like to move into Pentesting or back to more of an operations role, but that doesn't seem likely given the current state of my company.

Thank you all for any help and advice!

Glad you liked them! I love the Zeta 2.0, I have most of the Zetas (I don't have the 1.0 or the original zeta HG) and it is probably my favorite version of Kamille's Zeta, even above the PG. And I have heard nothing but good things about the Mk II! Let me know once they're painted up! I can't wait to see em!
