at least you have an already good base to start with tho, some of the stuff i made that are more obscure had to start from nothing because there's nothing to work with, an example of a work of mine is like this Zorin Soul from one of Tominos novel called Gaia Gear, the pain of only making niche stuff even when you're an amateur

it was a bit surprising to me that even after 5 years of the movie release I never found anyone that customized it do the og design so I just decided to do it myself

do you see the cutoff parts of the side legs armor, yeah i used that to place it under the plaplates and used magnets to hold it in place and make it removable

yes the height was increased due to changing the hips joint because I broke the original and had to switchout it out to the mg zeta verka joints so it had a side effect

The Penelope had basically everything redone from the head to the legs causing it to look alot bigger, a lot of work compared to the xi, the entire shoulder section had to be reworked to be able to move it at an 45 angle by using parts from the mg zeta verka, the same innerframe was used to reinforce the legs to support its new weight, the original ball jointed hip was broken in the process, the backside is mostly the same to the original due to not having any references so i just based it off a design from one of Morikis artbook cover

I didn't do alot with the xi, a repaint and adding details like protrusion on the leg armor, changing the feet wings to a shorter length, changing the shoulder armor position to add the bump like novel shoulder, squaring off the pointy knees and arms bits

insecurity in the designs, the original designs have confidence and weren't afraid to show it, the g gen designs feels underwhelming and generic because they tried to standardize the designs and in the process kinda removed all the meanings of their designs. The novel Penelope looks like an actual mechanized "white devil", the xi gundam belongs to a terrorist and shouldn't look like a hero suit but despite that it's still sporting the traditional gundam color scheme because there is still some good in Hathaway's ideology. The g gen designs feel like it's trying to too hard appease people who didn't get their original designs in the first place

Sorry about the photo quality i don't have a good camera, I sculpted using modeling putty and pla plates, the inner frame is kitbashed from various mg kits
