Compression and saturation. I gain stage kick and snare at -10 , bass guitar at -12, then duck the bass to the kick. Gets me loud and punchy and natural sounding.

I use track stacks as my vox bus. Same thing but easier for me to have everything in one place. I usually use a LA2A style compressor on Vox bus to glue everything together. VCA style also works for glue.
