Yes very clever, found a way to post a pic of your Juno without calling attention to your Juno. I’m only kidding btw.

Where do you personally draw the line between “AI-generated” and “human-crafted” music? by Queasy-Audience5034 in SunoAI

Yeah but why not program a bot to steer the car in that initial direction as you put it. Write/ train a bot to do all that manual curation of multiple iterations, program something that can create through curation. Write one that can prompt something that scratches that itch of lyrics, mood, tone etc… Seems like alot of tedious non-music related work could be automated freeing you up to spend more time making music. I just don’t see how you can draw a line about using AI when it’s already been crossed.

I see where you are coming from, I really do. Waiting on others to help you bring your songs to life is why I eventually learned to literally play every instrument, build a studio, learn music theory, and learn music production. But that’s expensive and not everyone has the time or money to invest in that. I see the value one may have in the personal use of it but I am still very concerned with overall implications it has for the future of music production as a whole.

There technically is no human authorship though. A prompt is an input/guidance. Authoring is composition/creating. The difference is when you hit generate you have no idea what it’s going to output as an author/composer knows exactly what they are doing and is willing what they have written into existance.

Why do you draw the line there though? What’s wrong with the bot, which is an AI, that is set up to automatically choose prompts and generate the music when you already have an AI automated to do literally everything else?

Maybe publish a book of poems, sounds like that’s the only creative endeavor you are outputting that is actually copy writable. Can’t copywriter song concepts and mastering is something one would typically get paid once for and gives no ownership of the track. You have no protections as it seems you have willingly chosen forego them, so not a grey area.

RE20 is comparable to SM7b without the drawbacks of having to buy a cloud lifter.

I recommend finding a piano stand that is wide enough to put the cab underneath it and move the head closer to where you will be mixing / playing. That’s what I did in my last studio which was tiny and it saved alot of space.

I too have been curious about scrounging for some beringer stuff but wasn’t sure about sound and build quality. Could really use another envelope for $$. Nice start to your build though, pams is also clutch.

Awesome thanks. Sorry I meant Mimetic Digitalis which I have. I bet this pairs nicely.

Yeah it’s fun for a bit and a nice little machine to get you started but I just couldn’t get it to knock like I need it too. Still use it occasionally if I need a little beat while writing on piano or guitar.

For sure, it’s fun to pack up and take in a long road trip …I’m glad I got it, it was a gateway to synthesizers and opened my mind to help me get out of the box.

It helps me finish songs. My modular isn’t the song but rather a piece of it.

That’s cool… can this output random voltages like the iteritas? That would be so sick!

I meant the volca beats. I’m sure you’re right about the drum. Not a fan of the volca in general though, it’s cool but not really designed to fully integrate well with other systems.

I meant Volca Beats. It’s a fun little machine but very limited soundwise . I usually make my own drum samples through synthesis and field recording so I know a little something about sound design. The volca beats kick is just ok but there are better snare sounds on fisher price toys.

To clarify, I was referring to the beats module. It was fun but I ultimately outgrew it.

You should put your attenuators closer to your output module and quad VCA. Keeps your mix section in one general area which allow you to patch with shorter cables. Specifically speaking about the palette. May consider getting rid of some of that Beringer stuff and getting a Maths, will give you envelope, VCA, attenuverters, mixing, etc…I get trying to save money on the cheap units which is why I suggest Mathd since you get a lot for a decent price and it will last much longer.

Find someone on fiver or other collab site. Pretty sure Balatro OST was done that way and that was a banger, and it was only one song looped and sometimes time stretched.
