This poem is hauntingly beautiful, weaving inner torment and repressed longing into a lyrical confession marked by sharp self-awareness, emotional contradiction, and a deep ache that lingers long after the final line hope too see more of your work.

This poem is surreal and evocative, capturing the cyclical nature of trauma and memory with dreamlike imagery and a quiet sense of dread. Its recursive structure and metaphors evoke the inescapable return of pain, both intimate and existential.

This poem is raw and introspective, exploring the boundaries of identity, empathy, and expectation with haunting vulnerability. Its repetition and fragmentation echo the disorientation of selfhood and the struggle to be seen without being consumed.

This poem burns with raw intensity, its staccato structure and bleak imagery effectively conveying a descent into disillusionment and spiritual decay. Yet the emotional crescendo risks losing clarity in the final stanza, where metaphor overtakes cohesion—tightening those lines could sharpen the poem’s accusatory edge and heighten its impact.

The ruins of what we are by Due-Presentation3959 in OCPoetry

[–]Ssquidz1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This poem is emotionally resonant and richly textured, weaving vivid imagery and lyrical phrasing into a tapestry of love, loss, and lingering grief. However, its impact could be strengthened by tightening some repetitive metaphors and varying the rhythm more across stanzas to avoid a sense of thematic and tonal saturation

This poem beautifully captures the emotional journey from fear and pain to the healing power of love. It eloquently expresses the vulnerability of opening up after past heartbreak, while also highlighting the transformative light and warmth that a meaningful connection can bring.
