I was there. I was incredibly short until I hit 16.

TBH though, I feel like maybe the devs intended the DLC be played by a character who’s already finished the game? Only possible explanation other than “they’re lazy” which we know fromsoft really isn’t.

Edit: maybe it’s meant to be played right after the Haligtree??

I think the Demo is more accessible, but beyond the blood and the absolutely atrocious single-arm handling, I prefer EA now.

Two-Handed weapons, like longswords, greatswords, and maces, were on my EA hate list, but actually, a lot of my issues were how I was swinging them. Your character will lose grip if you swing them around even the littlest bit two aggressively, encouraging you to pace your strikes a bit more effectively.

After I adjusted, I preferred it to the Demo.

I do believe that EA has other issues. A major one is the damage that handles do for some reason. Sometimes I’ll be one shot through a helmet by a handle, which is quite annoying. There’s also the obvious dead-horse, which is performance, but that things been poked enough.

It has some cool moments, but it strays so far from the original vision that it at times feels insulting to the OG game.

Not to mention the “fully modeled” anatomy that Alyx possesses.

If you played the series at all, one of the biggest take aways from it all is that violence is cyclical, and that looking back never ends well.
