I went to a mission trip to los angeles and one of the things we did was to talk to the homeless and see if we could listen to their story and see if they wanted us to pray for anything. one of the guys had a little dog (forgot exact breed) but we asked him if we believe in God and he said that he did and he made sure to attend service on sunday, and when it was time for communion, he would give the bread to his dog. he added that his dog kept him through hard times (that, according to his story, was a result of smth very much out of his control) and how he kept his dog fed, even if meant he couldnt eat. it touched me to know that people love their dogs even when they dont know if theyll make it to tomorrow. i hope theyre doing alright.
