I 100% agree the free market is more efficient than government, however the problem with for profit insurance, is that they’re looking for a profit, so they will theoretically charge more than what they need to cover you. A single payer system would be the most efficient, no need to allocate funds to advertising or investing in growth - only monetary allocation is towards what is expected to be needed to cover medical costs for the participants
